Next time throw a hint and tell them that you are running low on desert or drinks, they will get the dig... Not everybody thinks like u , some people are good people but unfortunately their parents failed to treach them few things .

If I buy a box of drinks with my mate, we always go halves or I'll cover the few extra dollars. I give mates lifts and don't think anything of it, friends help each out and pay their way. If they don't pay their way they are just using you and you should probably kick em to the curb. Just my opinion bro, but there is no excuse for ripping your mates off.

If there's one thing I know about people, its that they don't forget easily.

You invited them. You're the host. Don't throw parties you can't afford.

Are they supposed to be obligated because YOU decided to spend money? If you hadn't invited them they would probably have still been at home.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered UFC 200 and decided to invite by bros (literally my brothers). They asked me if I ordered it on my own and I said "of course". None of them chipped in or anything or brought anything with them to my place. They just stopped by, drank the beers, ate, and left. It would've been a nice gesture of them to at least bring a few beers in or chip in for the even but NOTHING. Is this what people have come down to nowadays? Am I the only one dealing with this chit?
Get better friends. Your friends are fuking *******s.

Negged.

Common courtesy.

If you are invited somewhere for a party or whatever, guests with half a brain will bring at least something.

Your friends/Bros are just selfish, disrespectful people.

I have a fridge full of beer and always have too much food to go around when I invite people over, but my friends still bring their own drinks and chip in with food.

It's called not being a chit person lol. You can't change your legit brothers but you can change your friends

You trippin. Why do something for somebody and be bitter about it? If I do something for somebody I don't need it back. Unless we specifically agree that it is to be paid back. Some of y'all need to stop doing stuff for people or make it more clear what you want beforehand. He probably didn't think to pay it back because he knows he would have done the same thing and not expected it back. You are petty.

This. If I'm going anywhere, even for a BS talk, I'll bring something over. Beer, food, etc. It's just common courtesy like you said.

When I host, I take care of everything, and it is reciprocated when my buddies host at their house, but then again we're not broke college kids anymore.

Feels bad for you, man.

All my friends are tight with each other, and loyal as fuk to one another. We'll buy each other food all the time, bare least cook for one another. Respect the rule of dibs with girls even if one is all over us, and chip in on anything group related.

Either get new bros, or stop being a pushover and demand stuff from them. If you order a PPV event, let them know that they have to chip to watch it because the chit is expensive as fuk, whether that's on the actual program or on food/alcohol. Don't be a sissy.

I don't know these feels, in my circle its customary for hosts to be left with so much beer and food they don't know wat to do with it. SRS.

Get friends that at least reciprocate your gestures.

From my experience, people pitch in if they can, if they got the money. But if they can't, the host doesn't hold it against them, no one told them to host, they take the initiative and they can serve with what only they can. Usually people do pitch in some way or another, so I never really had the experience of absolutely just grimey guest really (other then being loud and obnoxious, and occasionally coming over uninvited).

Idk man, sounds like you just got chit company bro.

why not just ask friends politely to bring some stuff?

I have a mate who literally always goes above and beyond for others in terms of buying things and bringing things, learnt the hard way who were his real friends in the end

Did he ask you to buy them for him? Or did you just buy them, give one to him, and hoped that he'd pay back?

I bought them for myself and my bros. My other bro couldn't go so I called my "buddy" up asking him if he wants to come. I didn't expect any money from him for the ticket, but common courtesy would call for a "hey man, so how much I owe you for the ticket?" or even a basic "thank you" would suffice.

I can agree with the thank you, but passively hoping for an offer to pay when you had no intentions of accepting his money reeks of femininity. If you didn't even want money for it in the first place, then who cares if he does or doesn't offer to pay? IMO stop treating him to chit if thank yous aren't given, but also IMO stop wanting an empty gesture of kindness that is, by all accounts, frivolous.

Give tickets > Don't want money > "Hey how much for these?" > "Don't worry about it, bro!" > Don't get compensation > Watch event
Give tickets > Don't want money > Don't get compensation > Watch event

Same chit is transpiring, but without all the fakeness that you claim to hate. Jah feel?
