lol @ asking girls out. Good luck with not getting any poosey after spending a few $$ because now she knows that she can't be slutty by sleeping with you on the first date because females today think guys who take girls out are hard to come by. Instead Chad and Tyrone spent 0$ hooking up with her on "girls' night out

If I care enough to ask a girl out, I'm not after just pussy. I know how to play the game. after some time, If I want to be sexually exclusive I'm not afraid to talk about it.

I never do although I'm pretty shy too. I pretty much rely on tinder or going to a bar unfortunately. I only know one friend in fact who cold approaches in everyday situations and he's had bad results from it..flakes, disinterest, etc... The days of courting women are over. They call the shots anyways. Might as well just ask them to hang out

I actually agree with you, flaunt what you got when the circumstances allow it. I'm talking about situations where alcohol likely isnt involved though

If she's particularly shy, she won't even say anything back initially, but after a while she should warm up to you and become more comfortable. It should be obvious in her body language when she is more receptive.

With shy women you just have to go slower, and not get frustrated if you don't get much in reciprocation for a while. Eventually they get comfortable, and then you can start conversing with them more, and then start with casual stuff like inviting them to grab some coffee with you after work, etc. That's just the way it is; if you approach them in a too direct/extroverted way they just retreat and you won't reach them at all.
FWIW I think this guy ^^^ is on the right track. My husband was a co-worker. We saw each other at work, went out for lunches w/other co-workers. He asked me out to a Halloween party. Sounded more fun that just sitting home.

Its intimidating asking women out because when I was young I experienced girls going out of their way to make you look like a rapist or completely below them in order to decline your advances. Whats more I feel like even interacting with a vagina comes off as trying to hit on them or make a move. While ago this girl was doing "tricep push downs" with absolutely garbage form. I walked over between my set and showed her how to do it. She seemed dumb founded and I got the impression her and her friend both thought it was my stab at chatting her up, when really I just cringed at her failure lifts.

As an adult I have too much pride to approach a female and make her feel like the one making a decision and having myself and others at her disposal. I will place a chip on no ones shoulder

Etc

I've only asked one girl out in my entire life and that was over 5 years ago during my junior year of high school. She said no.

Are you a PT? People tend to find that offensive. I'm a PT and wouldn't even do that if I was off shift unless someone was at a real risk of injury. It's the PT on shift's job to be fixing that ****. Bring it to their attention - unless, you're really trying to use it to pick up lol

The whole cycle of

approach > drinks date > dinner date > smash date > relationship talk > "we need to discuss the future" > go no contact

gets really old especially with women around 30. Then there's messaging tinder matches on the off chance that one of the non-ugly ones actually has a sense of humour and isn't frigid. The whole dating scene is incredibly unrewarding.

this sounds absolutely horrible. It actually made my stomach hurt reading this.

I can't even imagine. I remember wanting to ask a guy out at my school once. I had to crowdsource how I would do it with my friends and I was so scared when it was time to do it, that the big hearted babe put me out of my misery, completed my asking him out for me and it was all good.

That alone made me compassionate for dudes on this front (even though I already was, but now I actually understood.) so to try to do it with the negative connotation of being the bad guy?
ffuuuukk that.

but then again the men of my community in particular are generally so confident and good at it, it was easy to think all men were used to it like that. That, however, is categorically false.

I am not a PT. Maybe its a gym thing or a cultural thing, but gym patrons PT or not never address when someone is using garbage form. I do not think she was at risk of injury, but why not give someone information that will benefit them. I was not trying to pick her up, and if people find that gesture offensive they are probably juvenile as fuk. I have spent time in a MMA gym and currently at a Jiu Jitsu club, giving people input on their technique is not only good manners but its essential. Maybe its just me though.

Lol that was a cute story. Some women are tasteful about turning a guy down, some arent. It goes both ways though, no doubt some men have been approached and acted like an ass. Such is life..... if someone is rude about declining your advances then odds are you saved yourself some trouble.

"Shy" Coworker UPDATE

So yesterday we were both working, so I said fuk it, and was just gonna flat out ask her out. Knees weak, arms were heavy, there was vommit on my sweater already etc... When I found her, before I could even speak, she invited me out for drinks that night after work (wot m8?). We had a GOOD night, and vibed really well, but now I'm realizing that she may not be as shy as I thought. She claims to be, but I'm just not buying it anymore. Anyway, we both agreed not to let our business spread at work, and we are gonna go to dinner sometime this week.
