I feel for you bro, even just a few pimples destroys your confidence.

I had mild acne on my back and chest in my late teens/early twenties, and had a really random bout of constant severe break outs on my forehead when I was 22 for ~6 months, after never having facial acne at all (probably had 5 pimples on my face through my whole life previous srs). Derm said it was an infection and I got long term antibiotics which fully cleared it within a month. It put me in a pretty deep depression though, so I know what acne can do to you.

Your cheeks breaking out definitely indicate hormonal acne, and accutane WILL work. The slight side effects are worth it, just imagine the mental anguish it will save. Your mental state is as important as your physical state, and acne will wreck havoc on you mentally.

Stop reading idiotic reviews and blogs on the Internet, go to a derm and tell them exactly what you wrote here, and take your accutane and never worry about pimples again after 4-6 months.

Get on accutane brah. PM me if you need help if a dermatologist won't prescribe it. Do your research and homework thoroughly.

those are all factors of acne, but hormones are the biggest factor of all. I had acne just like his, ate "clean" w/o dairy, washed face 2-3x a day, changed pillows/etc, nothing worked except for age

I would pop a bunch of those fukers. Stick them with a needle first then blow them up.

A few of the red ones looks like cystic acne. Those ones won't pop.

Did you get any side effects/ lose your gains when you started taking accutane?

And how long did it take to work?
Severe back pain while taking accutane; it's actually a COMMON side effect so gl on that. Give up squats/deads but you can keep bench press. Joints get more sore faster (injury prone). I lost many gains for 7 months (duration of accutane, 3 months x 60, 4 months x 30)

It's worth it!

EDIT: Forgot I had to drop out of Track and Field, it absolutely KILLED my knees/legs, I wasn't able to jog and 'forgot' how to run (body wouldn't run) walking hurt everyday. So if you're in a sport you might have to drop out if it gets as bad as it was for me.

Adding on to my last post, if you don't lift at all you wont get joint pain or back pain, those side effects only come to those who lift while on accutane, this guy didnt lift while on accutane so he didnt experience those side effects.

Those look like cystic acne. You have to treat them from the inside and accutane will do that.

It really is what you feeling like during it. Few people report no side effects that interferes with their lifting. They will tell you back pain/joint pain is a rare side effect, that is really BS, I've read a lot of accutane threads on the misc and it's a very common side effect here, side effect is noticed when you lift.

Upperbody was 100% fine so you can still do something like volleyball (oh nvm age 21)
why are you red too?

Wait until you hit your 30's, you'll curse the day you took that poison.

brb, eyes still dry and cant see in the dark
brb, stomach and intestinal problems, can't stop blinking
brb, headaches from blinking so much due to dry eyes, even worse night vision
brb, horrible abdominal cramps and nearly blind at night
brb, 30 second notice at best before you chit your pants

last but not least, anal leakage.

It's coming boyo. Spend the next 8 years having fun with your God-like complexion because your tour is over when you hit your 30's. I turned down their first round offer of the class action suit. I'd give any amount of money to rid myself of the side-effects of Accutane.

For Opie: Change you pillow case every night, seriously. Also, don't use down filled pillows, only the chitty foam ones. The ends of the feathers poke through and irritate your face.

Get yourself thick, solid, tight and the beeoches will still fuark you.

i used 5% benzoyl peroxide and gradually upped he amount until my skin could withstand a buttload of it, used it before sleep

I think it helps with both the bacterial and irritation aspect. Since I have a layer of dried BP on my skin it won't get irritated when my face is touching the pillow.

It looks hormonal which means something is stopping your facial hair from growing, trapping it in a premature state which is causing irritation and blocked pores. I bet you are consuming a large quantity of estrogen in your diet by not knowing its sources (probably from certain meats etc). I have a great estrogen reducing/blocking diet that has worked great for balancing male hormones.

If you also have large pustules by your eyebrow area (at the ends of the brows), and around your chin, but not on your nose or forehead as much, than it is very much likely from hormones.

Study dermatology for interest.

Dude, don't listen to anyone about diet or over the counter bull****. I'm in my thirties and had acne for a long time. NOTHING worked. No diet change, no face creams. Save your money and save your time. The only thing that has ever worked is Accutane. Get on it asap. Trust me. Good luck bro.

The acne.org stuff is just a cleanser, benzoyl peroxide treatment, and a moisturizer. The bp kills bacteria on the surface of your skin, but thats all it does. There are other active ingredients you can try that work in different ways.

Salicylic acid worked best for me, it's an exfoliant that helps clear out all the dead skin and sebum that the bacteria feed on. Benzoyl peroxide just irritated my skin and made everything worse. I would try accutane as a last resort.

Look for help on skincareaddiction on Reddit. Yea, its reddit, but the subforums are actually useful.

I'm not even reading all the bs everyone else has posted. if you haven't tried Vitamin B5 please look it up. its most likely the easiest fix for your severe breakouts. my son has them and I give him 500mg per day and it settles right down.

OP at least 20 people have told you to get on accutane and you reply to the one person who tells you not too.

Go to a quality derm, they will sort out your dosage so you have minimum side effects, and stop reading horror stories. It's a strong/serious drug, but it works and it is the only cure for cystic acne other than time. It was made for cases exactly like yours, cases that don't respond to other treatments, and is almost a guarantee.

I also agree that B5 will work for him, but it will not stop the problem because it is being caused by something else. He either has food allergies, weak gutflora, or a hormone imbalance caused by estrogen. B5 plus the reduction or correction of the above 3 will stop his acne. All accutain is is a high dose of Vitmain A, but some ppl have an allergy to vitamin A which can make the problem worse, or at least not stop the acne.
