I'm not sure why someone trying to better humanity is leaving such a bitter taste for some of you. Also, I live in a medium sized town. Perhaps on the smaller side of medium- 120k people. Oh, in south Louisiana. I can't drive one day to work without seeing a Tesla.

Solar panel efficiency is garbage. However, it doesn't help that the average American is ridiculously wasteful. Reminds me of the WiReD article about the computer programmer that makes 3x more dumpster diving electronics than he does as a programmer.
I do think that some major breakthroughs in solar are overdue. I expect some kind of energy revolution in the next 25 years.
