I personally don't think it's that messed up. We all KNOW this and that we will live a financially non-GOAT life if we choose to marry our own girl.

Maybe if I was non-FA and had the chance of having a GF I would sympathise, but honestly you can't complain about living a chit life when you were offered the option to stick to the rules and live a fantastically comfortable one.

I'm just going to accept the arranged marriage and inheritance and use it to retire (from working for someone else) and put the money towards starting a business and growing and accumulating the wealth to pass on to my children, etc

The interest rate is low, and the repayment of them is not much per week, so rather than forking out a large amount of cash straight off the bat, it's better to take them and re-pay slowly while using that large amount of cash to enhance your stock portfolio instead

Its a bit more complicated that that. The idea of wealth being accessible to everyone is a bit of a lie, especially in europe. Most of the wealth is concentrated among a small set of elite families who control much of the capital. OP's friends father is only doing what he has to do, they keep their wealth within their own tight knit communities. Trust me, even if the girl was a white "commoner", the dad would probably still be pissed.
