That being said yes break ups are chit usually but I'd be lying if I said I cared all the time. There have been break ups where I really felt nothing although I still cared for my partner I just didn't like them romantically anymore. Some relationships turn so tedious you just don't care anymore and that girls insercuties were too much.

But if youve had an emotional connection with that person, you can see its a coping technique. Behind the facade there's sadness. And it will stay there for long when they think through what theyve done and rationalize and seek validation for their views of what went wrong. E.g. its your fault, and she will take no responsibility for anything. If theyre like that, they arent over it and will not be for a long time.
