Good example of why it's a good idea to field strip and lube/inspect new guns first eh

Definitely.
Mostly we were blown away that that made it out their doors that way in the first place.
Seen plenty of dumb chit from various companies...barrel nuts torqued to 150+lbs, barrel nuts loctited, crooked FSB's....
Never seen a company do something as bad as this. Lol

February 16, 2017 (Redmond, WA)
Recently, a news release came to light identifying one of our contracted employees and brand ambassador, Mr. Charles Chuck Pressburg of Presscheck Consulting, in an unfortunate firearms incident. The media coverage of this incident is vague and allows for misperception. In addition to this limited reporting by the press, malicious speculation online is fueling and in some way exacerbating many inaccuracies in the story.
This incident is by no means indicative of the performance or standards that we know Chuck to uphold, and in no way impacts his credentials as a Subject Matter Expert on the topic of low-light operations as well as night vision and laser combat employment. He represents our brand, and we support him as strongly today as we ever have.
While this was an obviously unfortunate incident involving our brand ambassador, the details of the situation will come out at a time and method that are legally appropriate. While it would not be appropriate for our brand ambassador to make a statement himself at this time, B.E. Meyers & Co. Inc. and industry entities cited in this message stand in his support to speak for him.
I encourage the community to take a pause, know that all the details cannot be currently released, and to question the narrative provided to them by the Oregon media that has spread to the national press level. Stop breaking out the Jump-to-Conclusions Mat, stop trying to fill in the blanks erroneously, and start letting the facts develop. Let the legal system work, and come to your own conclusions in due time.
I personally stand with Chuck.
B.E. Meyers & Co. Inc. stands with Chuck.
Those of character in this industry stand with Chuck.
We are ALL, all in for Chuck.

Matthew Meyers

not much, lol. pretty much the upper, the lower, and trigger group, and mag release. i still have the old bcg/ch, figured they can be good back up parts if anything, but they are well used. the orginal barrel was shot out a year ago and replaced with an aero nitride 16 in fsp barrel.

the furniture was replaced at various points for better fit/better ergonomics/customization.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the vortex strikefire was sold to help pay for the eotech.

meh, it just wasnt a great barrel. 4140 chromemoly non-chrome lined pencil barrel. roughly 7000 rounds at the time, probably 60% steel cased.

edit: new one is an aero 4150 m4 profile nitrided barrel.

Jeez, yea that's definitely a chit barrel lol.
Even with a lot of steel cased ammo, 7K rounds is just getting started good on any decent AR barrel. (Not stainless.)

My M&PII so far. Got it for free and only paid ~$300 for the chit on it. Enjoy it. Can't decide between the eotech and new holosun reflex sight next. Going to keep this for awhile before I get a legit one (or two) for duty use and splurge on everything my heart desires.

I put a Holosun RDS on one of my ARs and I keep waiting for it to prove that I wasted $200. But it's just keeps performing. Easily shoots 1 MOA at 50 yards. Holds zero. Excellent battery life.

Other than when I was a complete novice/noob, I have never deadlifted more than I squat. Those backs.

My M&P 15-22 has never given me any problems. For a semi-auto .22 off the shelf I honestly don't think you can do much better. Runs every high velocity round I have tried and it's my go to firearm for my kids to shoot.

What is the best barrel for extended rapid fire? I've been using my AAC upper with nitrided 4150 chrome moly vanadium 1:7 barrel. It gets red hot after a couple of mags and the handguard stays too hot to touch for about 20 minutes. I'm going out to my friend's property tomorrow and we're going to dump some 60 round drums. I have some chrome lined and stainless barrels, I wonder if those would be better. I'm going to take my laser thermometer with me to check barrel temp.

Edit: Never mind, I googled it. I'll just stick with the AAC until it's shot out and replace as needed. Apparently I'm definitely not supposed to use a stainless barrel.
