Lol just lol if you even think his name is chad. It might have been at one point, but in accordance with samurai tradition he changes it every time he levels up.

This kid is legitimately elite. He throws 100+ mph. He's a better pitching prospect than Yu Darvish was coming out of Japan, and Darvish was/is an elite MLB starter when healthy.

Otani has been an elite prospect since his HS days. That is when he first popped onto the MLB radar.

Chang master race.
They're giving their kids GH injections at a younger age. Classic signs being a short torso and really long legs, which I've seen on a lot of tall Koreans and Chinese.

Asians will do anything to give their kids a competitive edge in life even if that means spending tens of thousands on GH so their kids grow tall

Darvish is way more of a Chad though, because he's only half Asian.

Doubt that.

I live in the south which is supposedly the most racist part of the United states or so people claim. I regularly see white women and Asian men dating. Most white girls I know say they aren't apposed to dating Asian dudes. Not sure where this Asian men are incels thing comes from. Is it different out west or up north or something?

The Asian guys down there must be "whitewashed" then. I live in NY and the stereotype about Asians being nerdy as hell is definitely real.

Baseball reference is your friend
I think you're again missing the fact that this is Japan. The only ones with a right to be referred to as "the next babe Ruth" in terms of power hitting are Bryant or Harper. Not some barely above average 22 year old against poverty talent. Even if that's only said because he can pitch and bat he doesn't do either at a high MLB level. Put Harper or Bryant in Japan and they hit 80 HRs a season.

Japan is ranked number 1 in baseball and team have alot of depth...

The talent is certainly not poverty..

Whatever says the npb is poverty talent know nothing about baseball.

And scouts that get paid to do their job disagree with you...you would be fired within minutes.

The "next Babe Ruth" label is just a fun label because he is doing both at an extremely high level in the best league outside the MLB. You are completely wrong on what he is capable of doing at an MLB level; this kid is a prodigy who is capable of pitching in the MLB right now. Most scouts believe that he can hit in the MLB as well, of course whether or not this actually happens is completely up for debate because MLB teams obviously don't want to put star pitchers whom they've invested $100+ million dollars into at injury risk star.

Those of you who are undermining his talent clearly know nothing about baseball; as MLB scouts have been raving about Otani since his highschool days when he was throwing mid 90's. Otani is a better pitching prospect than hitting; although he has legitimate MLB upside as a hitter as well (the power is real). He's hit 102.5 mph on the radar gun off the mound; the fact that it was in Japan is completely irrelevant. He would top every single prospect list if he were somehow able to sign tomorrow, that is unquestionable.

I might be taking the babe Ruth label too serious but in that comparison you compare someone to Ruth on their hitting not pitching. He may be a great pitcher since pitching can actually translate but we both know hitting does not, and Japanese baseball has been pretty widely agreed to be somewhere between AA and AAA in talent level so idk where he got them being top talent from.

Npb is known as aaa+ to scouts.

Why do you say"widely known to be aa" you are lying.

Npb has better defense and speed but less power overall.
