You have $4,750,000 left over. Both house and car are paid for, debt gone. Seriously, how can you not live off that? What are you buying where $4.75 million isn't enough? Don't bring up expensive cities like LA because that's your decision to live there, not mine.
4.75 million at 5% is about 230k a year in income without touching the principal.

If you can't live on that something is wrong.

Now if you're giving me $50-100 Million to do that, then we may have a legit negotiation.
If you invested $70k annually for 5 years, you would need to get 64% returns, assuming continuous compound interest. Nobody saves 100% of their income and nobody makes 64% returns on their investment... and that doesn't even account for tax or inflation. If you could manage to invest $15k and make 10%, you'd have about $100k at the end of the 5 years.

To make $2.5 million, you either need:
1.) more than 5 years, building wealth isn't hard, it's just hard to do quickly
2.) a salary of well over $70k per year, as your salary increases beyond like $70k, your potential to save drastically increases, drastically increasing the compounding power of your investments
3.) a significant principal to invest, because assuming you're relying on whatever annual additions you can make on $70k, it isn't happening
4.) significant entrepreneurial success, if you're actually actively building a business/businesses, increasing your net worth from $0 to $2.5m in 5 years is totally doable, but that's totally different than passively investing your leftover income from your $70k/year job

I just found 50 cents in my couch. Gonna throw that into the market and get myself a private jet in a few weeks with the interest.

I already clarified that $70k was a primary revenue stream, with additional revenue streams (5) of between $10K-$50k, with growth from year to year.

As has already been mentioned by a few, $5 Million in X Geographic Area simply doesn't go as far in another Geographic Area. So I would not waste 5 years for $5 Million, particularly when a good home in the most attratcive and amenity laden US cities is $700K to $1 Million USD, not including yearly amenities and utilities.

Not trying to live a simple life.

Idk. How close are you in this goal of yours?

Anybody who take the challenge will have more than you in 5 years and if done right, will always have more than you. And they dont even have to grind for it.

$230k/ yr? So you can practically live in any major U.S. city

And yes OP. Would live in San Diego and love life for those 5 years.

$20 a month for gym membership, shower in there
$70 a week for food

Sleep on beach

I could do this
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Average millionaire has over 7 sources of income.

Long story short $70k/year is the primary revenue stream, with other smaller income streams. $5 Million in 5 years is nothing in a large metropolitian area in the US, paritucarly if you had to live like a rat to get it.
None of your posts explain where a person just gets additional sources of income. Most Americans don't just start off with 5 other passive sources of income on top of their salary. So unless you have a rich family, you have to use your 1 source of income to expand into other sources of income which takes time.

So all I can assume is that your saying someone with a $70k job who also inherited like $200k worth of stocks or something would rather keep working than be homeless. But for your average college grad that is going to have only 1 source of income being his new job, and already $40k of student debt, most would be willing to attempt the $5 mil for 5 years of homelessness alternative.

Yeah. I was homeless for 3 months. For $5 mill I'd do this in a heartbeat. $4000/yr is a nice cushion for a homeless person.

I don't think people really realize how long those 5 years are gonna be lol. It sounds easy, but as someone that has done volunteer work at a shelter I don't think most have any idea what they'd be signing up for. Especially considering a lot of people on the streets end up dead/missing and cops don't bother investigating.

4% of that (considered a safe withdrawal rate for life) is 200k. Capital gains tax only 15%. Aware me on not buying nice cars and an above average house with 170k after tax income before counting a job?

Just go back to making your salary now as well, but better work environment because you can tell people to fuk off. Make 300k/year if you have decent job. Pretty sure I could buy awesome houses provided I don't live in NYC or SF.

made a min of 80k/ max a touch over 100k.. taxes alone ate half. living expenses ate another 30% or more (had to live in a really expensive area so if I did math probably closer to 40%) I kept usually 10k a year so how the fuk can you turn that into 2.5m in 5 years?

Fuk no.......5 years, pshhh. Think about how long ago 5 years was for you and where you are now, whats changed and how long 5 years actually is.

I would start to legit THINK about doing it if the terms were more like 1 year for 10 million.
