Looking at this thread, it seems many users would flat out reject it regardless of the quality. They simply don't like the idea of a new Misc mascot. They like unoriginal gay Bert. Reminds me of the old loons still listening to sputtery vinyl in their basements. They refuse to accept a new superior product because of their comfort with the old.

Can one of you boys please answer this for me? I'm very curious. If you're going to steal a well-established, copyrighted character, why not chose one that's a little more fitting? Like Rocko? Or Johnny Bravo? Maybe Daffy Duck? Why select a homosexual puppet who's targeted towards children? I don't get it. I really don't.

Don, it makes me sad to admit, hanging my head a little currently, but it's exactly what the misc needed at the time.. A GAY puppet. There I said it. A GAY puppet that the misc could confide in who gave no fu*ks about women and would go NC on ernie with no remorse. The misc needed someone they could confide in.. That's what it is. And bert served his purpose for the fellas around here that needed that role model. But the time has come for a actual misc original. You know? original content, and it doesn't look like were going to be seeing anything creative by all the naysayers, just more hate. So someone needs to step up and do this. Do this for the misc.


and sure maybe Angry Bert did have some charisma and potential, but was a 4chan creation secretly bashing the misc views..

I remember back before they legalized gay marriage, I'd watch the news and see posters featuring Bert & Ernie at those rallies. Initially, I'd smile wide thinking that the Misc was being represented out there. Then I'd remember that Bert and Ernie are icons in the gay community. Gays love them. Makes sense though. Definitely more appropriate than being a mascot on a forum supposedly filled with testosterone-fueled heterosexuals.
