That sounds absolutely soul crushing. 25 with no future prospects of doing anything in life? That would be like waking up in hell. Guess that's why they end up doing deugs, knocking up some 4/10. Gotta seem somewhat valuable to others.

There's a lot of societal and economic REASONS, but the real FAULT belongs to the parents and the person alike.
There are always hardships in life. Lots of people get dealt a chit hand in life. It's true some parts of society have a lesser chance at success due to various factors including race, class, geographical location, etc. Some people are also just fukin stupid. There are just a zillion various factors.
However, it is the parents JOB to teach their kids about the follies of life. My younger brother is in a similar situation altho not a total NEET, but I 100% blame my parents for never making him pay rent, always giving him some pocket money, not being too hard on him. That mothfker is 26 years old for fuks sake. They enable him.
HE is also at fault. I will not make excuses for him any longer. I did when he was 19, 20, 21 or so. I know life can be hard but I will NOT insult my brother by saying he was too stupid or otherwise incapable of doing better. He was and is capable of doing much better. I always felt he was smarter than em in some ways and have various talents exceeding my own, and I'm making fukin bank and definitely performed far above average at school and in life. There is no excuse.
TLDR: The person and parents are at fault. The times are hard, but thats when you push your kids to do better, not just let them rot at home. It's funny because I did 2 STEM degrees. The M is for math, and I did molecular biology, which is a science degree last time I checked. But yeah, zero jobs. Best I could hope for was entry level glassware washer at a research institution for $15/hr. Wasted my life studying differential geometry, topology, partial differential equations, and numerical analysis just to do phuck all with my math degree. Studied a bunch of physics too. All a waste. Had a 3.87 GPA, and a 3.96 in math specifically. Went to a chit state school so I guess that's why. Also, kind of autistic and never networked, etc.
Now, I just freelance tutor. It's a chitty life man, and sometimes I really don't think I'm gonna make it. I feel like the rotting has dulled my mind.
I've come to accept that I have no value to this society, and I'm just kind of on autopilot at this point. The only place I feel I am making any progress is in the gym.

My close buddy from college majored Bio and couldnt find a job. He took extra classes, got a Masters in engineering and just got hired full-time as a Utility engineer in a municipal power utility here in LA. He makes close to 6 figures starting, plus a benefits package that impressed me. Sure it took work, but it's doable.
You can do it brother, you really can. I know you must feel down now, but this guy wasn't a genius. Pretty smart, yes just as I am, but NOT an outlier, just beyond average. Research a career you can switch into with the least number of classes to take, get another BS or MS and switch careers.
Thats just one example of how someone succeeded who was in your exact situation. There are many many other paths that don't require a higher education. You can do it man, you just have to actually do it instead of chillin in the victim mentality crew. If you take action you will make it boyo.

Can confirm, moved back home again last year. But I actually work, pay all my bills, am saving, and am moving out in the fall while being financially secure.
I also do all of the chit around the house anyways.

Also, the only person responsible for their position in life, is them. That's it. They are now adults. They need to take responsibility for their actions. You are not where you are because you "can't find a job," or because society is against you, or because this teacher did that, or blah blah blah. The people that blame and complain the most are the ones that are the problem. Go on indeed and apply for a job. I couldn't find a job in my field the first summer after graduation. So I took A job, starting at 9.50 an hour just for some income to start saving and paying bills. I also still work at this place part time for 15$ as well as another job which is actually in my field, and I am increasing my value to future employers by reading, studying, getting certifications, etc.
You control your life. You are responsible for your actions, for your success, for your future. So many stupid annoying fukks that don't do chit and complain about chit while sitting in there home for years on end with no change. They say insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.
What is the ROI on complaining? srs. Wallowing all day and night, what is the ROI. Nothing. There is no return on investment on whining and sitting there blaming people and society for your problems. The market is the market. It doesn't give a flying fuk about you. You get zero return on investment for complaining, and actually get a negative return because you are losing TIME with no gain.

The worst mistake I ever made was trying to "make something" of myself
in retrospect would have moved to an exotic location, work in tourism for life and tell the world to fuk itself
NEET and CHAD sounds pretty great.
Just work 80-100/week slave labor, get yelled at all day, no attractive women in sight. No end to the slave labor in sight.
But great, I will have some money when I am 50 and too exhausted to do anything.
Can't blame the NEET one bit. Seems like they are the smart ones.

I know a guy who's like 35 living with his parents, no job for several years.
