In Europe (not UK) & Scandinavia it's been standard for years for women not to shave underarms - have seen v good-looking/feminine girls on the beach with furry underarms. For whatever reasons they just never got with the culture of females removing underarm hair that happened in the UK & US from the 1920's onward (when sleeveless dresses became common).

I'm torn on it cause it is natural for women to have some underarm fur and clearly some folks do not think it's disgusting. On the other hand, to me it looks unsightly & gross; I dunno if that's entirely due to conditioning I grew up with.

Legs .. again have no idea how I'd react without conditioning, but they look kinda gross unshaved on women. 1st time I ever saw that was actually in the US and I was shocked cause at home (NI) no normal female would ever go out with bare undepilated legs.

(As as aside there is something really cute about men's underarms, I have weird thing about them).

Lol, no. It's a requirement to keep yourself clean as possible for prayers. It's not the same for Muslims as it is for Christians. When we touch the Qur'an, we have to be in a purified state (having made wu'du, washing up, etc.). You can't just go, pick up the Qur'an and start reading it.
