I don't think you get a choice. Fire gets close enough and the instinct to escape takes over every fiber of your being despite how terrible of an option jumping is, you just want to escape

Wtf are these people just standing there. 2 dudes just drinking pepsi. I'd be climbing down and try to reach the fukkin ladder.

Any hint of real fire, and first thing I do is gtfo. Why risk the chance to get burned alive? srs, what are people thinking staying inside

wonder what this tower is constructed with? we use concrete and steel stud for framing, with lots of firestop to prevent fires from spreading to different rooms.

I'm surprised the fire dept doesn't have big "air bags" to put around the building for people to jump....like they do for movie stunts

I'd rather jump head first and die immediately than get roasted to death.

Actually if inhaling enough smoke can knock you unconscious I would take that option

High rise living is becoming increasingly more common as older western cities try to stimulate growth and maintain housing asset values in light of economic headwinds to come.

Fire safety is a real concern. Building should have compartmentalised fire exits stair cases , smoke detectors, water sprinklers and access to water mains for fire fighters to get to fires before they engulf an entire building.

As mentioned in an earlier post, the building appears to be a project, meaning the residents are not the brightest and thoughtful of neighbours. This would be very high risk living with drug addicts and bogans who don't think.
"The manlet is a savage beast that knows no moral bound. After falling in disgrace to a manmore, a ravaged manlet would not hesitate to come from behind and land a sucker punch/ swing with a rock to the back of a manmore's head. They are ruthless and you need to spend some more time in the gutter to even begin trying to comprehend what goes on in their minds."

Yeah he's an idiot... I mean an old concrete building would definitely collapse if it caught fire.

Basically every building that ever caught fire has collapsed.

That's why there are so many cases of buildings collapsing from a fire on video....

Right?

Srsly tho this schit is fukin messed up. I was literally just round the corner from there a few hours ago and I had no idea. We just saw a couple of fire trucks go past. Thought nothing of it.

I always thought about this... my escape plan would be to get as many blankets as I could, drench them in cold water, drench myself in cold water, and then wrap myself in the soaking wet blankets and make a run for the neatest staircase.

Still dont get how its 2017 and they dont use the forrest fire helicopters to just drench the building from the top... 3 of those going at once could put out that fire in a second. WTF London bros...

also why not have like a giant ball pit or moon bounce to place for people to jump into

Dumping water would most likely make the building collapse.

As a side note watching the live feed it seems like a quarter of the building wasnt on fire. Hopefully some people made it out.
