Since class went over for me and it was getting late, I told the instructor we can meet at the range tomorrow for my NRA target shooting.

Lol discovered my dominant eye is my left and I'm a righty.. great news... my left eye is the worst and has the most astigmatism but hopefully with these glasses it gets corrected well enough to shoot fine.

Can't freaking wait.

Damn fine choice bro you're gonna love that Vibe. Rig up an anchor trolly and get a small drift sock. I really loved the PVC rocket launchers I rigged up on my Tarpon they held all sorts of stuff with quick access.

Should be great. SOTs are the way to go, I have a Malibu X-Factor rigged for fishing. Get a milk crate and some 1.5" pvc and make a fishing crate for the back. Usually the factory rod holders are in the way for paddeling, they are more for still fishing. I have Scotty flush mounts with extension arms to get mine out of the way for trolling, and all kinds of stuff, fish finder etc. Built it to kayak fish for salmon in Lake Michigan but usually just drop in a nearby river, paddle upstream a few miles and float back sipping a cold beer and smallmouth fishing. Anchor trolley and if you are in shallows a lot a pole anchor to stick into the mud through a scupper hole. Might want to get scupper plugs for the scuppers by the seat if your a$$ gets wet. On my previous SOT I used those spongy little practice golf balls. Keeps water from coming up (or draining so not for surf).

Jeez doesn't seem like I've had this one 5 years already. Time flys.

Me too, doesn't really matter for pistol, I can shoot both eyes open because your not bringing a stock to one side of your face. For shotgun /rifle it will matter. Either will need to shoot left handed or close your dominant eye. For trap shooting they sell glasses that block the dominant eye when your head is down on the stock for cross dominant people. I just learned from a young age to close my left as the gun is coming up.

Welcome to my world, my first time shooting with my left hand with an AR though I was able to hit a golf ball from a distance versus not hitting anything with my right and left eye.

On a side note.

I think I narrowed down the brands of ARs to PSA, Anderson Manufacturing and Ruger. Not wanting to spend a ton because I want a red dot sight.

[QUOTE=RThoe post_id=1509954841]No thanks. Kentucky is probably the last place I'd ever willingly visit.

I'll do some more reading. The included rudder at that price is what sold me. Most of the kayaks that I looked at are $1000+ for the same features, and then another $250 for the rudder. This one was $910 shipped.

My wife is naturally right-eye/left-hand. Her solution was to learn to shoot with her right hand.

It took her about 18 months, but she learned to do it. She was at the range twice each month during that time.

She still writes, eats, etc with her left hand doe.

Some people don't have ARs itt whenever complete PSAs are $400-500, Aeros are $600, and Colt 6920s are $700-800.

If anyone itt buys a DPMS oracle over the above mentioned ARs I will blump you so hard.
