I think until you're a parent, you won't understand. At least that's what they tell me anyways.

For me, if a golden retriever can do it, I'm not allowed to call it an accomplishment. But that's just for me!

Pulling my suicidal, wheelchair-bound relative out of depression and helping him walk again. Took alot of mental fortitude and PT knowledge but it happened.

It's not the fact that I had them. It's how they turned out and how they act. I suppose next you'll say raising respectful kids isn't 'nuthin' either?

I do alot of things people consider hard to do and admirable, but I honestly dont care about any of it. Im not trying to be humble either, I really just dont care.

-I graduated college twice and I didnt goto either graduation, first in my fam to goto college. I also paid my way through every semester with a check by working almost full-time hours at a good-paying server job on top of full-time college (so its not like my parents paid my way and im just spoiled)
-I did track in college and got 5th place in at nationals one year in pole vault but didnt care cause it was division 3, and I also felt like I got lucky on my 5th place jump. so again I wasn't proud.
-bought my first house at age 21 and didnt care, wasnt excited, just did it cause paying rent was dumb and i wanted to make money renting to roommates
-I bought 5 houses since then, never proud, just saw them as strictly investments. My parents dont even know about 2 of them, most of my friends dont even know I have rentals...
-bought a beach house last year, again, im not proud of myself, I just bought it to live in someday, for now I just see it as an investment.
-bought one of my dream cars (NSX-T) earlier this year, I like driving it and everything but I wasnt proud of myself or anything when I got it. partly got it as an investment, partly because i has a hole burning in my pocket, partly to get me out of a slump.
-Ive won physique competitions, earned my pro-card in a natty federation (that I didnt even use), Ive done charity work, smashed a few very goodlooking girls, ive passed a very hard NASM CPT exam, Ive accomplished alot at all my jobs, saved my previous employer around $75,000 once (long story, but smaller company so that was alot of $), etc. I literally dont give a fuk about any of it.

Everytime I do something major like that, when people find out they congratulate me like crazy and i smile and nod and I really dont give a fuk

Im really really not tryng to make a brag thread, im 100% srs when I say im not proud of any of these things ive done... Honestly the proudest ive been of myself was when I finished a 5lb ice cream sundae challenge (on my 2nd try, puked first time, came back a year later and redeemed myself)

Born in lower income inner city area where statistically i was supposed to end up dead, addicted to drugs or in jail. Finessed my way up corporate america, and took enough chances to where i now "work" in locations where i see a lot of old wealthy americans "retiring to spend their golden years". I'm able to enjoy my prime years for extended months at a time where many people save up for years just to visit for 5 or 10 days on "once in a lifetime vacays". I meditate and acknowledge this every day. all kinds of grateful but currently visiting family in the states

Apart from marrying an incredible woman and being a dad to my son, I'd say my greatest accomplishment is not a single act, but my general resilience. I've been through many situations that would break a lot of people.

I got cheated on by gf of 6 years
I suppprted one paralyzed sibling with MS, and another with alcoholism and cancer
I got handed huge debt from parents that I took on alone
I was shunned by most of my extended family over a lie regarding assaulting my cousin (and when they found out it was a lie, they just cut losses and didn't apologize because they never liked me or my mom anyway)
I lost most of my social network when I ran from my physically abusive ex
Etc.

I pushed forward into better days. Perseverance itself is an accomplishment, IMO.
