I'm skeptical about this list...

I grew up in Las Vegas, and we just got White Castle within the last year or two. There's one on the strip, and they just put one downtown on Fremont Street in the past couple months. The numbers must be skewed, because the one White Castle we've had just happens to be in the epicenter of tourism. Nobody that lives here actually goes to White Castle, except maybe the people who work nearby, but I doubt they even go much.

I'm also flabbergasted how Chic-Fil-A is so dominant. I didn't read the thread, so maybe I'm not the first to say this, but I'd say the methods of gathering the data are garbage. Of course if you have three Chic-Fil-A's in town and 20 McDonalds' that one Chic Fil A is going to have higher volume than any individual McDonald's.

I know of 2 (now 3) and they always have LONG AS FUK lines. Since this map is visits per location, it makes sense.

This is extremely flawed. Its most visits per location.

There are 5 mcdonalds in my town v 1 chic fil a so obviously the one is going to be busier. Everyone who wants chic fil a has to go to the one location but if you want mcdonalds you can pick from the closest of 5. I bet if you add up the five mcdonald's visits they kill the one chic fil a place in sales.

somewhat deceiving chart. chick fila has much less locations per state than the big three.
in chicago, the most popular place per sales is a high end steakhouse. does that mean every chicagoan eats 70 dollar steaks as their number one choice of meal?

total sales should determine a restaurants foothold, not visits.
