There always seems to be porn video shops in small towns. I guess the people there are still too backwards to have internet. Or they’re just gay cruising places now...

I don’t understand how blockbuster went completely under, they couldn’t even adapt to online service and live through that?

They tried that. But Netflix got there first and made them look like dinosaurs.

Just reading how they peaked in 2004, and just 6 years later were on life support. Lol

Circuit City is gone everywhere I believe. I'm thinking about five years ago or so.

Circuit City was a poverty Best Buy

Blockbuster was a victim of technology advancement. Great memories there in the 90s though.
I have a K-mart still near me, though I have only been there once and prefer never to go back.

Not a name brand specific store, but you don't see many Arcades anymore.

I used to go to Arcades with my friends and spend hours in there getting tickets and trying to get high scores.

We have one Kmart left in my city, independently owned which is why they didn't go under, but it's very much a trip to 20 years ago

Toys r us is still around, but they're getting their azzes kicked by Wal-Mart. My son bought a $50 Lego set from toys r us a couple months ago. Turned out it was an unmarked return with a large portion of the building missing and everything else already built. The cashier we exchanged it with took it back with the comment "no wonder we're going out of business" and have my son a good set that we double checked with him in the store.
