In the gym, definite strength loss. Could be because I'm still adapting but chit feelsheavy, man.

About day 4 I got the keto flu but it wasn't too bad and it was over pretty quickly.

Face looks a little more defined but still too early to tell I think.
Well, keto diet definitely isn’t for everyone. For me personally though, it has improved my mood, aesthetics, and my cognitive function also seems to have increased a notch. The slight bit of strength loss and keto flu were really the only downsides besides diet restriction, which all 3 I’m already over with and I’m only on day 6.

I don’t think I’ll ever switch back except for when I bulk. I’m in love with it

Has there been long term studies on ketogenic diets? I think our bodies are made to have carbs, do we know what damage neglecting carbs does long term? Genuinely wondering.

For those of you on Keto, what will you do when at holiday/speacial events where most of the foods are high in carbs? Will you blow up if you give in to speacial occasions?

Very likely there are no long term negative health effects. If anything, you’d be better off on a keto diet in the long run because it forces you to eat lots of veggies, and not to mention that your bodies internal organs run extremely well off of ketones

Will people think it's weird? Especially if it's a family member offering food.

Maybe, but if someone’s going to think you’re weird for being on a diet, then I probably wouldn’t care about their opinion anyways

If it’s that huge of a deal though, you could save up your daily carb ‘budget’ for that holiday meal and just consume all of your carbs for the day in that meal

I'm not that super hardcore about it. I'll eat carbs on Xmas, then go back to keto after

Well this is a retarded post.

It's a fact that keto will shed water thus improving aesthetics

It's also been shown in numerous studies that it improves cognitive function

and you didnt even bother to post your potato source

I am not picky about taste too much, so I don't need a variety of foods really.

Knowing that, on average, how many hours per week does it take to prepare keto meals?

Hate to sound lazy, I do cook quite a bit now but ironically my favorite home cooked meals are ones that can be cooked really easily and fast, with leftovers for 4+ days. I do that a lot. I don't want to spend a lot of time cooking.

It's about equal. You really only have to prep the protein/meat though, the other foods are basically ready-to-eat

he didn't even post a source. I've posted multiple ones that have highlighted the benefits of keto diets, it's not broscience at all. Keto diets have been studied pretty extensively. Why give his claim any value when he cant even back it up?

Anyways, the easiest meal for me has been going to chipotle and getting a steak, chicken, veggie, guac, and cheese/queso bowl. Tastes perfect

Here's an amazing keto recipe that you can cook in bulk and it'll last all week, and it's probably one of the tastiest meals you'll ever have (srs):https://bayesianbodybuilding.com/tex-mex-recipe/

other than that i'll cook salmon, chicken, and steak with any types of spices I want.

Avoid bread, cake and starches. Easy **** fam. Hardest part is waiting for your body to adapt.

I still eat fruit but in moderation. High carb fruits like bananas and mango are still good IMO

2) This one, where I stated that Keto is completely unnecessary for 90% of people that do it (you replied with negligible factoids)

Who doesn’t like a diet where you can eat bacon and eggs every day for breakfast and still lose weight quickly while improving blood work?

What did I say that sounded bro-sciencey? Everything I’ve posted is mainly from bayesian bodybuilding’s pt course on keto dieting, and bayesianbb is 100% evidence based. Everything is referenced... hence why I provided studies when people called me out.
