why does anyone cheat op? because they're generally sh!tty people who have no concern for other people's feelings. they have no morals or loyalty because there's never a valid excuse for cheating; just break up, it is that simple.

Anyway, the real reason for cheating is obvious and simple. It's not just girls. Guys cheat as well of course. The reason is the person is too selfish and spineless to end the relationship. They would rather sample the goods elsewhere, but keep the other person as a backup. Or they just want to have casual NSA sex for the novelty. Either way, it is a disgusting act that shows you don't really love or respect your partner. People who cheat shouldn't be in committed relationships. Women are better at cheating, and also have more to gain from a backup generally, so that's why you see so many bros complaining about getting cucked. When a guy cheats, he usually just wanted to get his dink wet, and isn't actually looking to monkey branch. When a girl cheats, she will usually look to use her current guy for everything she can before she trashes him. You see it all the time in divorces and chit.

It's not always black and white like that though, but yeah people who want to cheat should just dump the bf or gf, marriage is different obviously.

Sometimes it's in your best interest to stay with your current partner while enjoying your side piece instead of just breaking up. The side piece may just be a nice piece of ass and not exactly relationship material, so why break up. Some people may feel they are missing something from their current relationship and seek that elsewhere, I think this is a bad excuse but it is a common one. Sometimes things just happen or you develop feelings for another person, believe it or not you can be in love with multiple people.

But yeah, the right thing to do in a non marriage/family relationship would be to just break up, thing is some people just don't want to risk being alone/single.

I'm not sure I agree that men cheat more often, I tend to think women cheat an equal amount. I think most men tend to cheat spontaneously when an opportunity presents itself, they don't usually put a lot of thought into it. Women are more calculated and when they meet another man they're going to cheat with, they take more time to plan how they're going to do it and get away with it. So yes, women may be better at cheating... but in a way they're more cold because they put more thought and effort into being deceiving.
