Most of my friends gain like 20lbs in the month or two I'm back because all I do is play poker, drink and smoke meat / bbq while everyone else is at work so people drop in throughout the day and have lunch / drinks if they're in the area. Lots of times there will be like 8 people over by dinner time. My vegan GF LOVES it lmao

I got a green egg a while back. I use that sucker so much it has paid for itself 10x over. Really into lamb these days. Ask your butcher to debone and butterfly a leg of lamb. It is the tastiest piece of any animal imo. Hnnggg.

I also tried some home brewing but failed epically. Absolute swill. Gonna keep making batches until I make something drinkable.

I might actually try my best for once due to being offered a unique business / career opportunity. Been cruising at 20-30% effort for a few years now. 2018 is going to be a very interesting year.

Financial Goals:

Save 50k (pre-tax + post tax)
Pay off car (9k left)
Increase income from my various income streams to 175k (150k this year, no car salesman)
Buy rental property out of state. Not buying chit in the Bay Area right now

Career Goals:

- Get promoted or find new job that's a step up from where I am
- Exceed my monthly sales quotas by 125%

Social Goals:

- Stop living with Craigslist roommates and commuting one hour to work each way and move in with friends in San Francisco close to work. Will be getting rid of my car when I do this which will pay off most of the outstanding loan.
- Continue to expand social circle. Doing well right now but it can always be better
- Stop messing around with my ex and start dating again. Smash 10+ girls
- Severely restrict social media/Misc/Reddit use (the irony)

Health/Fitness goals:

- Keeping B/S/D at 255/365/405 at 10-12% body fat will be fine with me. I'm a fat fuk right now and haven't lifted in months. Probably at 18-20% body fat right now and feel extremely weak
- Boxing/kickboxing/BJJ three times a week for cardio
- Drinking only on weekends instead of 5-6 days a week. White girl on special occasions instead of every weekend
- Eat enough fruits/veggies instead of relying on multis

My big goal for 2018 is to travel Europe for 6 weeks, 3 of which may be solo which is going to put me WAY out of my comfort zone.

The others are just improving my ability to coach, getting my CSCS, and getting my degree. But these are things I've been working towards for year.

What will I change that I haven't done?

Go to seminars, shadow, intern. Make it a point to intitate social events, join a rec sports team. Make enough to move out, while it may not be the most financially smart move, I think the independence I will gain and the lessons I'll learn from living on my own will be worth it.

Being 24 and still living at home has really hindered my growth imo. While it's awesome to keep saving I feel like I'm complacent because I'm so comfortable at home.

Take the 3 million I've made from the antiquated blockchain technology and figure out some way to begin investing in hashgraph, the future of all life.

If you're making enough where it won't be a massive strain on you to move out, do it. Life seriously begins once you aren't living with parents anymore.

I think I could do it but I'll need to wait and see when I graduate in the summer. Already have a near full time job but I don't know if I'll be able afford it.

I have plenty saved up, but I want to be living in a surplus.

I need to really be on top of my **** this year. Gonna be graduating college this spring and I want to be working a solid job and moved out of my parents house by the end of the summer. I also want to lose a solid 10-15 pounds.

I always end up losing track of my fitness goals between school and work and then try to make up for it in the summer. This year I figure I'm gonna be even more busy with job hunting, and moving out so I need to take that chit more seriously and make it a bigger priority in my life.

I've been thinking a lot about the little day to day things I'm gonna need to change to make all this happen.

To stop being complacent. If I actually applied myself 90% of the time it'd be incredible what I could accomplish. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm so deeply inspired by my work and what I get to create every day and I'm so good at it that it's easy for me to give just a little bit and outshine everyone. That will not make me succeed and frankly I disappoint myself. So that stops.

My public library has a Winter Reading Challenge so I signed up for that yesterday and picked up four new books to start working my way through. Read 20 minutes yesterday and will continue to track my progress through GoodReads and the 52 Books Crew. This was my first year not participating and I am dumber because of it (srs.)

I'm going to invite someone over for dinner every Friday night.

Rest on Saturdays. Really rest. Turn my phone off, hide my laptop.

I'm going to bake some fukkin bread. Making bread is time consuming. I have to set timers, and stop what I'm doing to knead and punch down some bread. Plus the house just smells amazing, and my neighbors think I have my life together when I bring it over. Friday afternoon bread making. I'm on Day 3 of feeding my first Sourdough Starter.

Damn. Feels good just putting that all down. We're all gonna make it, brahs.

Nothing dramatically different, I'm on a good path atm. I want to start to meditate again and read more. Maybe work in some dreaded cardio. That's about it really.

-Actively avoid dating is my main thing.
-I'm going to be watching and listening to a lot more Polish media, I've been exhausting a lot of English spoken movies lately and the vast majority of modern Hollywood releases are extremely unappealing so I won't be adding much next year.
-I'll be purchasing a digital piano, practice should be much more enjoyable than using a cheapo keyboard.

i've already achieved alot of my goals this year:

Quit smoking (jan 4th)
Paid off 2 Credit cards (5.5k)
Finally find a job that'll be an awesome career
stopped gambling excessively (mid way through the year)

As achievable this year was it was hard on me mentally.

2018 goals
Pay off personal loan (13k, then i'll be debt free)
gain 5kgs in muscle
That'll do for now.

Sure I can answer that, although as you're a guy you might find a hard time understanding it.

I was single between 21 and 26. 5 years without anyone was tough but it brought out an entirely new character. Eventually I did find somebody, and since then I haven't really gone more than a few months without having some girl in my life. And while it was amazing given the contrast, after dating over 10 girls in that time frame and it not ultimately leading to anything past a year I feel like I need to take a step back and have a character changing period again.

Nah makes total sense to me. I'd caution you perhaps not to draw a line in the sand in permanent marker that you won't be seeing anyone, but I do think focusing on your own needs, wants, and change will only make you a better partner in the future. Good on ya.

Well, last week while I was giving out treats to an office I teach at a Russian blonde was super friendly, asking me a load of questions, laughing at my jokes and touching me on the shoulder. So uh, hopefully those aren't legitimate signals.

Also, I'm making her some coconut treats for the 7th as she's Orthodox Catholic but doesn't feel like celebrating it due to staying here away from family. It made me kinda sad for her and she loves coconut so hopefully it'll make her feel better.
