So from the easter eggs you've left, you didnt learn or implement the new procedures and have been slacking off productivity wise (of your own admittance), and as a result of this you were demoted/someone was brought in to help spread your workload and keep you in check and now youre throwing a fit. I don't know your boss, but signs point to you being less than a superstar at work.

but yea I still stand by my advice...if you are that close to him, he will understand why you now may need to find a different job. You guys can still be together, and it will be better for your sanity. It will also keep the relationship dynamic more equitable.

From the day I started our revenue has gone up like 30% consistently. He was able to hire more people, get more customers.. whatever but with growth comes other changes that need to take place, things I couldn’t get to because I still have to keep track of everything else.

He was literally able to hire this girl because of how much money I bring into the company. We have like 80 regularly weekly customers and 15 large projects going on at any given time. I’m the only one that does any administration work.

So I was an accountant, bill collector, personal assistant, data entry person, customer service dept, pretty much every job that takes place in an office was my job. Even with two people everything isn’t getting done and I was expected to personally get everything done. Yes I got overwhelmed and eventually froze up, which is why- when he hired this person he should have hired her as my assistant.

Also- these new procedures and things that need to be implemented are things that need to be created by me, and then get a team of 10 on board with all the changes, and then execute. All while doing the above.

No, of course he’s not married. We were together 12 years ago, I worked from him from another state for a year. (Never anything unprofessional) but I moved here to work and just work. Anyways, he was my only friend here on top of being my boss- so we did spend time together(platonic) and then I guess because of our history, it turned into something else.
