I'd rather have a home gym. Hate my current gym. Bunch of overcompensating lifters and ****ty music. Honestly, this place would be heaven for a true *******. All you ever hear is men unnecessarily grunting or in general making weird and very audible exhaling sounds. The vibe is so bad for lifting. Not to mention a lot of equipment, areas, and even mirrors go uncleaned. But hey, if you enjoy the sound of men making weird sounds, old farts coughing up a lung, people trying to make the loudest sound possible when unracking / dropping weight, and ****ty music, then my gym is the place for you. I can't fcking wait to change gyms.

YEah. I would agree that a home gym is probably better than a ****ty gym. My current gym is awesome. I tried YMCA and it doesn't feel right.

I love the gym.

We've got this one dude that hangs out there all day. He's an older, jacket manlet with a ponytail. Eats his tuna in the locker room. My goal in life is to be him one day.

I'm in the gym by 5AM so I usually don't mind going as it's never that crowded. Everyone else that's there around that time is in the same mindset to get in and do your work and not turn it into a social hour. That said I'm pretty friendly with almost everyone that's there at that time just from seeing one another over the years.

I lifted in a home gym for a few years and thought I would never enjoy being in a gym again, but I really don't think I'd want to go back to that. Honestly I'm pretty excited for the day when I can move from the city I'm currently in and into the suburbs and find a nice, big gym.

i love the actual act of lifting weights. for me, i release all my anger on the weights. i can get angry at it. in society you can't really get angry or start fights all the time. the weights is where i take it out on. every rep is like killing someone. going to the gym is a chore though.

How does it feel that Indian women are marrying outside their race? Usually black or white dudes?

Not all the time, bad days are a given in life
But every workout I push through, I never quit during the middle of one.
Also, progress is super inspiring.

I prefer the gym. I go early in the morning (4 am/weekdays, 9 am/weekends) so it's not crowded. I could not do it at home, too many distractions. Plus, when I'm home, other than weekly chores me and my wife split up, I like to relax. Going to the gym gets me out to a place I can concentrate on what I need to do without distractions.

Lots of haters in the outside world, but how else can you show off what you got? I had a lot of the Ironmaster set-up, adjustable dumbbells up tp 130lbs, bench, dip and pull-up attachment. Almost never used it because I'd rather go to the gym where the haters can hate on me and the women and homos can admire. I have 3 different gym memberships and have long ago given up the pretense that I workout for me/health.

Lucky. The gym I use during lunch is kinda old (enviornment and people). I get to see all kinds of weird workouts. One guy paces around with hands behind his back for 45 min and stares at everyone. Lots of overweights sitting on machines either on phones or slumped and looking miserable. One lady today sat on a press machine for 20 minutes doing nothing but sweating and looking upset. Humidity is high which is why she was sweating without doing anything.

The one I use on the weekend is awesome. It's like a mini resort (Lifetime Fitness)

Can be a motivating catalyst but not enough reason to overcome the annoyances with waiting for equipment and dealing with other people's messes. The efficiency and flexibility of working out at home is just too good to pass up if you can create a good setup.
