CoD: MW2's soundtracks in general were amazing, the spawn themes for the teams and the campaign music was truly amazing. That game is **** on when it didn't really recieve a chance to be fixed up after the whole West and Zampella fiasco. Another candidate is Assassin's Creed 2. That was some amazing ****.

Nine Inch Nails did the soundtrack for Quake way back in 1996. It's not really music, more like an eerie soundscape, but it's very well done. I haven't played the game in years but still listen to the soundtrack occasionally when I'm working late at night.

I can't post links or videos as a noob, but do a search for "Nine Inch Nails Quake" on youtube and you can find it if you're interested.

Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask both had great soundtracks in terms of absorbing you into its atmosphere. Neither game to me had particularly great tracks that got stuck in your head or you'd listen to over and over, but overall both OSTs fit and played out perfectly.

edit- forgot Gerudo Valley from OOT, that is a legendary track.
