True, but I also don't want to yell at him the whole time and make him nervous. lol I feel like I did a good job being chill on our drive this afternoon. The only thing I really said was make sure you turn your head to look when changing lanes, not just look in side mirrors.

Yes srs. I did a quote with Esurance as well but it was gonna be almost as much as what I was paying with Liberty Mutual. Got like 3 people I know to switch to Geico and they all are paying cheaper than before as well. And no I don't work for Geico, I'm a Carpenter and just finished Nursing school lol.

The burdens of parenthood. You knew this day was coming dad. Now all you can do is just got to keep the warnings turned on until it burns into his psyche. Not too late to start that separate accident savings account.

Bruhh, I had Safeco, which is owned by Liberty Mutual. They overcharge like all fuk and play the "higher price for better service" angle. Then I got into an accident and they dicked around too much, one guy at Safeco even suggested I talk to the other driver's insurance and work things out with them myself. The fuk am I paying you for? Needless to say I changed insurance providers and yeah, most other providers charge much less. I'm with Nationwide now and it's 50% of what I used to pay.

I think I did an online quote with them, and it came out exact or pretty close to what they ended up charging me. Sorry it was a few years ago and I got a bad memory lol

When I had GEICO years ago they would only accept you if you had a perfect driving record. When I had my accident they paid up immediately and without question. Then cancel me a week after they sent the check.

It won't matter much, ever if he's a perfect driver. His age and gender supersedes all. Still, you can always use those things to negotiate any discount you can get. It won't be dramatic, but a savings is a savings.

Full coverage.
Our insurance rates are super high (Tons of crashes, chitty people filing false injury claims during them, etc.). I know a guy that pays $600 per month after putting his 16 year old daughter on their insurance. So basically $7,200 per year on insurance for a husband and wife with no citations or crashes on their record, so their 16 year old can drive. I believe he and his wife were paying about $250 or 275 per month for just them prior to that. (Which is cheap for 2 vehicles full coverage here)

If I ever have a kid they are going to be driving a 10 year old 4 cylinder car with just liability insurance until they can pay their own vehicle note and insurance rates.

That's why I excluded my teenager from my policy and got her a separate one. Too bad she backed into a car 4 months into driving. And the guy was shady so used insurance. 960 every 6 months. Was 520 before accident. (That's GEICO. She drives an 02 Tundra). I also added her after she got her license. She was covered on my policy during permit time.

I may just drop the full coverage. My car is 14 years old, but it only has 100K miles on it. Just didn't have to really think about it too much before since my coverage wasn't that much before adding him today.

I don't understand how it's cheaper to have a separate policy? His rates are going to be astomical no matter what due to being a teen boy.

I had two brand new cars with full coverage. It would've added 1k to my 6 month premium. So obv 520 was a better option. Too bad so scratched a bumper but she has a job and has to pay half of her insurance now.
