By contrast falsifiability does not exist with religion. What would you need- god to come down and say "actually, it's all a lie"?
That's the difference.

I agree with the thread title a bit. There are tons of people who are average to slightly above average intelligence who blindly follow science without actually understanding any of it.
Pretty much everyone who follows “I fvkking love science page”
It’s not that much better than being a religious zealot.

all im saying is there are tons of theories out there, and you speak fairly declaratively when it may not be necessary; and may in fact be naive

I'm very confident with women. They come to me for math help. I'm just not attractive so they don't want to pass on my genetics because they have deemed me inferior. It isn't some magic puzzle.
Also, the "consciousness causes collapse" is an interpretation of the theory, not the theory itself. The theory is still the same. The physical theories we have currently rule out a lot of classical ideas about time and the early universe.

People are looking for their identity. Humans in the past have given us enough intellectual resources to go into space and have a comfortable life, through what is called science. The average man jumping around and yelling that life has no meaning or claiming anything about our existence has been trending, for sure. Just leave the stupid people to do stupid things, by the time the brave new world takes us all, we'll be dead

Religion is the opposite. Well this old timey book says the earth is 6000 years old, so even though we've known this is BS for hundreds of years, we have to pretend the magic book is infallible or the entire religion will crumble.

There is no way to know cause they basically made that chit up.
Plus they came up with this arbitrary "number" system like hundreds of years ago mane so it's natural that their understanding of the world was totally flawed. They thought the earth was round for example, just lol. So basically all of our current science is based on a bunch of bullchit made up "mathemethics" that some ancient dumbasses made up a really long time ago. Does any of it makes sense? Fuk no. I rest my case.

The scientific method works great and you all believe it works otherwise you would never get in a plane or turn on an electric appliance. Some scientific fields are less credible, such as climate science. That's a problem of political ideologies interfering with science.

In pop culture it isa cult, but in the real world its not
48% of AMS Meteorolgists don't tow the line of Bill Nye and MSM "97% consensus" that humans are the main cause of GWhttps://journals.ametsoc.org/doi/pdf...S-D-13-00091.1
Wouldn't think thats possible if you go off the MSM and pop culture

Think about it. Did God just come into existence on his own? If the universe doesn't make sense doing that, why does God make sense? You perceive causality and notions of a direction of time because you exist at the scales you exist at. Our universe may actually be a very complicated 11 dimensional quantum thing. During the planck epoch, the notion of time and space starts to break down. The "dimensionality" of the universe starts to break down too. We have no current theory to describe it, but it is possible that classical notions of causality may not apply there at all. If that sounds logically paradoxical to you, consider that our entire concept of "present" is observer dependent, and that what we perceive as "time" really is just a perception of another dimension. The idea that there is some God perceiving the universe moving along some absolute time scale is inconsistent with what we already know about physics.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rietdi...utnam_argument
It is difficult for lifeforms like us to comprehend these things, but there are now models that show that time and space may emerge from something more fundamental. Our universe is more complicated than it seems, and these simple, ancient notions of a creator creating the universe along some absolute timeline are almost certainly false.
If you want to argue for a God, there are other possible ways to interpret that our universe might have been deliberately created. The models of cosmology that exist now allowed for a huge class of possible kinds of universes to exist with a lot of different physical laws. The results would have been very different. Many of these cannot support life. The anthropic principle gives a kind of answer to why our universe is so special, but some problems like the fine-tuning problem suggest that there really is something special about our universe.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropic_principle
These are describing finely tuned parameters. We are indeed, very fortunate to exist in the universe we are in.

You need to draw a distinction between actual science, the scientific method as performed by academics and popular 'science', which is used to manipulate the opinions of the masses. Good examples are so many people thinking God and science are somehow opposed to each other, or global warming alarmism.

Real science is nothing like a religion, and real science happily admits when it doesn't know something, has gaps in it's knowledge, or is wrong; religion does not, and pretends to have all the answers.
Just because a bunch of pseudo-intellectuals spout scientific concepts they read with very little true understanding of the subject matter doesn't mean science is like a religion; science simply means following the scientific method, forming a hypothesis, and testing the outcome many times to give some degree of confidence that the findings are correct and reliable.
