Not everyone who dislikes turning entertainment into a delivery system for ideological thinking and political agendas is a bigot or extremely butthurt.

If you pulled your face away from whatever cawk you've been slurping in theaters lately you'd notice that star wars movies have turned into complete fuking garbage and it's NOT because there's a ******* in one of them.

This here. I've been into Star Wars since I was a child and this was never a thing in the movies before. But now with politics and SJW's getting more involved in entertainment it's clear there trying to push a message. Hell they even proritized adding same sex relationships into my favorite online Star Wars game rather than improve and add more playable content. I didn't care until chit like that started happening. Adding these new gender identities and sexual orientations to a new and original series is all fine and dandy with me, but LEAVE STAR WARS ALONE.

Exactly. Of all the industries that could tell someone how to live their life Hollywood is probably the last one you should listen to. I'm not interested in movies that try to shove a particular worldview down my throat, regardless of my opinions on the topic.

You're only butthurt now because it's giving a possibility that not everyone in films is strictly straight. Star wars has always had a liberal agenda. Maybe not including different sexual orientations but it's always been about defeating an authoritarian regime

Personally I have no issues with gay characters or whatever the fuk 'pansexual' is characters being in movies, it's a normal reflection of society as it is and always has been.

What I and I assume many others ITT have an issue with is how the media is constantly shoving this chit down our throats. Why couldn't they have made him pansexual without having people shouting it off the rooftops before the movie is even released? Because all they give a chit about is media attention. It's not about equality or social acceptance, it's about making more $$$ by cashing in on whatever topic is hot right now.

I'm sure you get tired of seeing 'straight' media everywhere and indirectly being told that it's the norm. It's fuking exhausting. If they want to make a gay or pansexual character then by all means, go right ahead but don't immediately throw a spotlight on that character's sexuality. It only reinforces the idea that that character is 'different' which only works against the goal of social acceptance.
