- Not enough time to workout

Speaking for myself here, but I literally do not have enough time to lift as much as I'd like. FT PhD student, 2 year old and pregnant wife, FT job, I'm lucky to get in a 45 minute workout in the morning. There's a new rec center opening this July with better equipment and hours, so I guess I won't be able to use this excuse anymore. Also, I drink too much, which doesn't help the belly...

you wouldnt be "lol" if you had the problems im sure. having REAL issues is not the same as waking up one day with a pain that goes away in an hour or 2..so..might want to rethink..

True but there are so many people that have these problems due to inactivity and not taking care of themselves. So many fatty magoos will use a small problem as an excuse to stay inactive and it just gets worse.

I had a bad back but I rehabbed it in the gym and now I never have back pain.

To be fair the lifestyle required to maintain anything Sub <15% sounds lame for me at least. I lift to be strong, healthy, and be able to enjoy the lifestyle I do without being a 300lb blob.

You've made a poor assumption my friend. I've had 4 hip surgeries, including a bi-lateral surgery where I had my right hip replaced.

I've lifted with no cartilage in my hips - bone on bone, I've been in the gym 1 month post surgery while still on crutches. People with serious conditions but with ambition, myself included, find ways to keep active and fit regardless of their adversities. If you love something, you don't just throw your hands up in the air and give up when you face some obstacles. Please don't preach your BS that having "real" issues is something that cannot be overcome, it's a chitty defeatist attitude. I'm not rethinking any of what I said.

I'm on lots of medications, quite a few of these cause weight gain and makes it hard to keep a regime on meds.

It's easy for you to be in shape because you cheat and use steroids like..... protein powder. Don't lie, I saw you drinking that steroids.

It's much harder for me to diet, because I get hungry when I don't eat food. You don't have hunger pains as bad as me. This stuff is especially difficult for me than mostly anyone else. They have it easy.

I eat right, but still can't lose weight even after years. (has no idea how much they eat or is guessing)

I barely eat anything. In front of other people and I tell them all the time I barely eat anything and still gain weight. I just look at food and gain weight. No, the large pizza I ate at home by myself doesn't count because no one saw me eat it.

This is a big one.

-A bench over 315 is unattainable if you are natural.
-Same goes for arms over 16 inches.
-Same goes for lifting 6 days a week.
-Same goes for being jacked over 40.

I think that the first one is true. Some people will never attain a 315 bench. I don't think that I will reach it without becoming morbidly obese. We will see.

Sure its hard (and likely impossible if you don't use a tried and true progression program) but I have seen too many naturals do it to buy into this.

I work out with a skinny 19 YO that just cracked 275. I have watched him from day 1 and there are no signs that he has a bike.

For women the biggest cope against lifting is “I don’t want to get big or have huge muscles” To which I say “I lift weights do I look big?” The answe is always “Nooooo you’re tiny but I’ll get too big if I lift “. Lol I’m just like lmao at them!

Cancer is a legitimate excuse though for not at least "progressing" from where you were when you were healthy. Just getting to the gym with cancer is a plus.

lol. You'd look good with the body of Nicole Bass or someone similar!

BTW I was working out with a personal trainer who surrounds himself with other PT's at the time I heard that line. He told me a regime IS difficult to keep on meds, but believed it can be done...but yunno, it's not easy.
