Good luck, mane. We had a nest last summer. Just yellowjackets, though, not those hummingbird sized venom-spitting fukkers you have. They are much less active at night, so whatever your plan is, plan to do it right at dusk or after dark. We unloaded a whole can of Raid into the hole in the nest where they fly in and out then waited an hour and unloaded another one. There was no movement or sign of life when we checked in the morning, so I dressed in long sleeves and a hoodie and carefully cut down the nest and chucked it in the trash can (it was trash day, so it was at the curb).

I used a burning rolled up newspaper to smoke them at about 1am. Then I just smashed it with a hockey stick. They all seemed dead from the smoke already

Hornets and wasps exist to just fuk chit up. They don't give a damn about anyone or anything.

Thats what i used too. 2 cans of it. I did hit a few in the air but they seemd to shuck it off and kept comin at me.

It kills like any other Raid bug spray, but that canister in particular can spray nests from really far. Its great for really large nests and nests that are high up like under awnings and eaves of houses and whatnot. As soon as they come in contact with the spray they instantly drop from the sky. You gotta kill them. doing chit like poking the nest with a broom stick handle or spraying it with a water hose just pisses them off, gets you stung and they'll just build another nest somewhere else.

All this nonsense with wearing protective gear and using fire is just a waste of time, counterproductive an you can end up damaging your own property going overkill with fire.

My dad usually has about a half dozen of these cans that he goes through throughout the summer months.
