honestly, horrible decision to start firing at that point. once he has the hostage you have to try to desculate untill SWAT arrives. the dude isnt going to slit her throat, he took the hostage to stay alive. He isnt going to kill the hostage and then have zero bargaining chips, it defeats the whole purpose.

With that said, 5 years ago they drop him well before he reaches the bystander. At the latest he should have been shot the second he walked towards the woman. But unfortunately SJW cucks with zero penchant for research, have caused cops to be overly cautious that leads to situations like this.

It's the culture surrounding it, the politicians and the ability to do your job. Imagine if your boss was on your ass all day, every day waiting for you to make a mistake. Waiting for you to slip up so you could get fired. Would you perform well?

The answer is you'd be on edge, scared of phuking up and second guessing every single thing you did. Now add in some lawsuits if you phuk up.

If people in power really cared, they'd have discussions about the poor community, the mentally disabled and their interactions with the police. But many don't. They want to blame police. Police are the latest bogeyman because they have an insanely hard job. You then take a retarded, uninformed public media, politicians and public who monday morning QBs EVERYTHING involved, gins it up with race, and wonders why race relations are in the chitter.

It's also important to consider their experience level. A 20 year cop will handle tense/life and death situations better than someone with less experience. Unfortunately a new cop has the same chance of finding himself in such a situation.

The use of force protocol has changed because of the left. You can't just shoot someone with a knife nowadays, it's about cover, distance, and using other options first.
