Went to Pensaco last year with a fam. It was cool. Had a lady drive us from Arizona to our resort in Pensaco. It was safe af and I assume it always will be if you drive in the daytime. I love Mexico, just came back from Vallarta last month. Enjoy your trip OP and bang some latinas while you’re there haha.

Will be in Isla Mujeres next month. Other side of the country but also good sportfishing. Wifey caught her a sail last time we were down there. I caught a much less exciting, but very tasty tuna that we ate later that night.

Yea Topolobampo is really nice, less tourist than Mazatlan but it is safe. I'd say Los Mochis is the safest place in Sinaloa next is Mazatlan. I drove all over Sinaloa this year and it was fine.

Fukkin rite! Lake Baccarac is on my bucket list. Iwill be there someday!
Few years ago I took a week long guided trip on Falcon Lake on Texas/Maxico border. This was right after the shooting of the newlyweds on jet skis; then they found the head of the chief inspector of the case; yeah, bad thoughts happened then but we survived. And we went up some small, secluded rivers on the Mexican side too; very sketchy.

It's not worth it for fishing.

It's a dangerous and impoverished country. You run the risk of being targeted just because you have the money to go on vacation.

In addition, it seems like life has little value there and laws aren't real.
