Just woke up and took 8 grams of Maeng Da and drank a cup of coffee with a cigarette.

GOAT morning ritual.

I dunno about "withdrawals" from it. Maybe very minor ones like just feeling a bit lethargic and kinda like youve got a cold or something. I've skipped 4-5 days from it quite a few times and never noticed anything though.

I absolutely love kratom but I hate that I get constipated when taking it. I'd love to know if any of you have figured out a way around that.

I'm torn on this. On the one hand, there are various things we do to keep our sanity. Drink coffee, have a beer, play computer games etc. All some sort of drug one way or another. Addicting shall we say. But to take something everyday for 4 years and say you have your shít together? Not so sure. The day kratom runs out or you can't get it you're fúcked. Severe withdrawals followed by spiraling depression I imagine.

I think withdrawals are totally different from person to person. I have never even went through a "severe" withdrawal once I stopped taking legit opiates (for months straight). Just a bit of runny nose and sneezing lol. Like I had a minor cold or something. The spiraling depression doesn't worry me since I already have legit Bipolar II disorder so that's just apart of my life.

I strated taking kratom after having my jaw shattered on both sides. Had surgery to implant titanium screws and plates in my face permanently and my jaw was wired shut for 6 weeks. Now I've got TMJ and constant clicking/popping on both sides, can't fully open my mouth without pain. Started taking kratom after that and it helps.

Stupid that it's going to be banned.

I have run out of kratom before and the WDs arent even that bad, like I said the worst thing I did was take work off when I shouldn't have cause I was bored as fuk. And I have copious amounts I wont run out for years to come. At the end of the day I do what makes me happy and I have my bills paid and everything else sorted out. I'm good bruh. If it is made illegal then I stop taking it simple as that.

I'd much rather do kratom than drink a beer though any day of the week

There is a whole forum about people going through nightmarish withdrawals after taking it for weeks without a break. Some, who have been through opiate withdrawal, describe it as twice as bad. Restless leg, hot and cold flashes, heightened anxiety. I got hooked on this stuff and just like you I thought it was a miracle from God. It absolutely is not. If you're taking any more than 4 grams every day without a 2 or 3 day break and you think you can just quit...

Try quitting for a full 48 hours. It is Hell on Earth. Now, the big argument is it is not an opiate. That is true. However, it has serious withdrawal and addiction potential because it bonds to the same receptors that opiates do. Thus damaging the receptors to the point they cannot restore natural balance. Withdrawals can last up to 2 weeks. Basically, your brain trying to restore natural chemistry. Trying to keep this dumbed down as possible for you guys who just buy it at a gas station and think that something sold in a gas station is going to change your life in a good way.

Many people quit for a full 24-36 hours, experience 0 withdrawals, and continue taking it. The longer you take it the worse it is going to be for you in the end. So happy to be free from that s*** and alcohol.

If you're on here and you are taking this green sludge every day, please be careful. You're in for a rude awakening.

Bro..please see my post above. Stop taking that s***. You're going to depend on that for how many years? And then what? You're out and you are going to have the worst time of your life. That sounds like a great plan. Just keep taking it until your entire digestive system is f**** and you can't quit if you wanted to quit?

I hope you're not serious. Please do more research.

Agreed, treat it as a reward. This summer I was studying for the biggest test of my life, DAT for dental school, and as a motivator I'd study for about 4 hours a day (while also working part time) and then unwind and relax with a bit of kratom at the end of each day. Gave me something to look forward to and to take away stresses. Ended up scoring in the 99.5th percentile.

Only problem with kratom like others have said is that it's almost too good at what it does. Gives you very little reason to NOT take it in a day. Literally the only downside I've seen is that it makes you emotionally blunted, so don't take it constantly when you have a girl you care about around, you'll appreciate her less and get less of an oxytocin rush.

Das it mane. Yeah you don't wanna take too much around people, just a little bit goes a long way. I'll take more if I'm chillin later at night and don't have to interact with anyone, it'll numb you out pretty good if you take a lot and you don't really wanna be like that around people lul

I've been using it several times a day for months.

My pain has started to die down. I've been taking less and feel nothing negative.

Hey anyone ever uses it for energy?

I keep hearing that in small dose it can give you a bit of energy like caffeine. I can't really consume much caffeine if any due to stomach issues and I'm desperate for a small energy bump for my workouts.

Ill green you for relevant answers.

Favorite substance on the planet, done immense research, have taken plenty of it, have stopped cold turkey for months at a time. I've gotten full blood panels while on it, digestive checks due to having ibs in the past, absolutely nothing bad has come from it. It helps my back pain from a terrible accident years ago, and has helped me get back in the gym. I hold a full time job in cybersecurity, and have zero issues with brain function while on it. It may not be for some people but to me it helps a ton, sad that big pharma wants to make it a drug.

You sound like a junkie srs.

Kratom, caffeine and nicotine first thing when you wake up.

In fact every single one of you who takes it on the regular is a junkie, addict.

I take it regularly and works great for how I use it but I've actually seen both cases of what is being described in this thread firsthand.

One friend who USED to swear by it had some absolutely horrible experiences due to it interacting in an unexpected way with other pain medication. This is a legit college wrestler we're talking about with well documented pain issues due to injuries. I have no doubt that it worked wonders for him to allow him to reduce the opiates he was prescribed. I also believe that he had a terrible experience with it and quit afterwards.

Another friend was up to well over 20g a day for many years (at least 5 years). He tapered down for a week then quit for several weeks as he was traveling abroad and didn't want to try to buy it from shady sources overseas. He was completely fine with zero withdrawals.

My own use has been intermittent but never had any issues with it. I also never have to take more than 2 grams which seems on the extreme low end of most people's dosage for pain (I typically hear 5-10 grams).

Moral of the story: it can be useful in some situations depending on the person, but it can also have some consequences if you don't research it properly. There is always a chance you may be one of those horror stories on the forums, but also realize that those are a small percentage of the many thousands if not millions of users in the US. There were 120,000 signatures on the last petition that resulted in this substance not being scheduled. Just some food for thought.

People get addicted to caffeine, it's in the DSM (Psych diagnosis).

However, all of us have unlimited access to caffeine, and most of us use it, like all the time, but we don't develop diagnosable addiction.

Same thing with alcohol.

Kratom is something new and there's a lot of scary talk about it. But, in my experience it's the same as caffeine and alcohol, only far more mild.

If you're taking 20 grams a day, there's something wrong with you. It's the same as people who drink a case of beer or pots of coffee. In those cases it's not the substance but the weirdo who doesn't know how to control himself.

Is smoke shop kratom generally ****? Interested in trying but don't think I have the patience to order online.
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.

I'm not the one asking if kratom will give me a boost in the gym becuase i'm a hypochondriac with a delicate stomach who can only drink caffeine in small amounts.

To answer your question, yes, by all means take kratom and go the gym...

you muppet

and to answer your other question i made a typo it was meant to read "junkie, addict."

I've edited it now..

If you can find the Remarkable Herbs kratom it's pretty good for headshop. It's on par with most stuff you can get online, it's just more expensive.

Strong junkie.

By all means wake up every day and shoot kratom, caffeine and nicotine into your bloodstream.

I've got some Vicks VapoRub here i can send you, maybe you could rub some on your chest for an extra buzz in the morning.

Man, sounds like you need to take some kratom. It would help you think a bit more clearly and help to control your sugar doughnut cravings too srs.
