8-5 work schedule is the real answer.

Yes, it's doable, but a lot of people don't have that drive/fire to do it

Work. If I wake up early I'm tired at work and if I wait until after work I'm tired from working. Just need to force yourself. When you get older it gets harder. Try sticking to the habit when youre young and youll be golden. I hurt my back and it was VERY difficult for me to get back into my gym routine..very

It's because most people are deceptive liars, which is a beta tactic.

People work to look good in their 20s and after they get married, usually in their 30s, they've trapped someone and just give up. They never cared about health, just creating a nest that most people are afraid to ruin with a divorce. Then, they had a spouse who thinks they're ugly, stops having sex with them, then they live like a child again.

Relationships are the hardest challenge according to my favorite psychologist Alfred Adler.

I work my ass off sometimes 10 or 11 hours a day for decades and I typically go to the gym daily.

Work and family is the answer. Unlike some degenerates I prioritize my son over the gym, so I don’t go to the gym until he falls asleep. If I have an after hours work obligation that eats up any free time I might have had to lift.

Doctors may advise against lifting since they see it as an unecessary risk of injury. Also the 'common sense' of the general population is that as you get older u should do less difficult things cuz "youre not a spring chicken anymore". I had a friend say this to me and im only 29.

I go 6 days a week and I'm early 30's. Probably the best shape I've ever been in.

I also work about 50 hrs a week.

Most lifters start because they feel the need to be better. Some people are happy with what they have.

Simple answer is kids and wife. You just donf have time between work and kids and the wife.

For example the best time I have is after the day is done and everyone is in bed.otherwiseid have to wake up at 4 or 5 am when I'm already sleep deprived.
If I lived the mid 20s lifestyle I'd lift twice a day.

I think the big one is kids and work. They both take a lot of time and are pretty stressful. So instead of going to the gym and eating right, you make the decision to eat crap, and have a few drinks.

It gets worse as the kids get older. Teenagers are a PIA!! Hopefully they have a ton of activities, which means you need to get them there. Add in your LTR and now you get less time.

Finally when you do get back to the gym you just don't get the success you had before, lack of sleep, stress and just age means you don't get the same gains.

Age is suggestive and if your form is good you've both nothing to worry about with a good warm up.

Yesterday was leg day, my right calf was a bit sore, but still did a 275x1 back squat, and then pulled 365x2 deadlift (beltless)

I workout at least 3x a week at the gym and 3-5x a week on my bike, but as I get older I see why some people don't. I genuinely have to make time for it and prioritize. For example, tomorrow I will not be going to the gym, because I work from 9ish to 5ish, and have class (in MBA program) from 6 to 9:15. Wednesday I have our team meeting that usually goes until around 6, so if I go to the gym I'll have no time to do homework, so I don't. Instead, I go Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, most Sundays. Some Saturdays I want to go ski, hike, watch a football game, etc.. so I skip. Accounting for sleeping 8 hours a day, working 8 hours a day and commuting an hour, there's only 7 hours left in a typical day. If you have any other hobbies or responsibilities it becomes a real task.

I bike commute most mornings, but am lucky in that I make enough to live a bike able distance and have a job that lets me shower, change and store my bike in my office. So that's how I get my typical cardio. Many people at my office make less and have to live farther away.

Lastly, life is about doing what makes you happy. For some people that is going to the gym. For most it isn't, and I like these people because they are the reason gym equipment is open when I need to use it.

Because let’s be real in order to look good working out is only half the battle

You also have to diet

And 99% of you ****ers out there have zero self control when it comes to food

So you put in all that work in the gym and still don’t see results cause you’re wrecking yourself the other 23 hours of the day with your diet

After awhile you just say **** it cause you’re not getting anything out of the hard work in the gym all because you can’t control what you eat

That’s why
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

So the only option in your program was to take a 3 hour class?

Or did you choose to have the entire class rolled into one day like that?

Even if it was you still could hit the gym from 9:45-11

Yeah that’s a long day but how much of your day was physically taxing. I guarantee you’d find you have the physical energy once you got in there you’re mostly just drained mentally and can’t mentally push yourself to go

You’re right though it’s about people choosing other things over it at the end of the day

I can understand why not everyone is going to enjoy lifting weights. I just can't relate to people that can watch themselves slowly morph into a hideous blob and not take steps to intervene before reaching that point.

how hard is it to buy a bunch of dumbbells for your house? Esp in wintery areas where going to the gym is a pain.

No excuses. I have a home gym and can lift while watching netflix. Diet of course is easy. Literally not being fat is freakin easy as fuark.

I workout 3x per week more if I can, but I enjoy lifting weight and being low bodyfat. Most of my 30 year old friends that dont lift have no desire too and have no interest in getting stronger. For them running is all they want to do if they even care.

the stupid thing is that the fat people you see running are imagining their bodies eventually looking like lean people who lift
