Interestingly enough, on RT the rotten reviews are primarily written by women. And none of it is about SJW - they pan the movie for serious plot concerns.

Let me see if I understand this properly...

1. Ronan was powerful because he was a Kree. He was beholden to Thanos. The GotG defeated Ronan.

2. The entire Avengers + GotG lost to Thanos.

3. Captain Marvel is powerful because she is half Kree.

4. Captain Marvel is going to use her half-Kree powers to defeat the master of the full-Kree Thanos.

What am I missing?

Yes, that's what he's saying. She will probably have a key role in the upcoming movie, but it seems highly unlikely that they would allow her to show up at the last minute and single-handedly save the day after a decade of building up to this moment.

Brie fuking Larson isn't going to swoop in and magically save the day brah, there is absolutely no way Marvel would do it like that. She'll play a part, and it'll all tie into some awesome moment where the last decade of movies (and like 100 years of Marvel comic history) culminates in Thanos' defeat. Marvel won't do anything less

I doubt Captain Marvel's contribution will even seem all that significant. It'll probably be something that enables the defeat of Thanos by the established characters

Pretty much. There is no reason for her to be as powerful as she is except for the real world identity politics of the authors. They shoehorned it in with some weird mind matter thought device thing and alien experimentation, but it's pretty dumb.

You're confusing the "Tomatometer" with the "Average Rating". Tomatometer is based on the number of "positive" reviews, aka Fresh vs Rotten, not the /10 rating. A movie could have 99% on the Tomatometer and a 7/10 average rating.

People only care about the Tomatometer. Captain Marvel is reviewing extremely well, but that's par for the course with Marvel movies

Anyone that goes to see this is a fukin cuck srs, even if it ends up being the greatest movie in the world.

We need to stand against this political agenda bullchit because it will end up fuking our children and future generations up. It's easy to be like "I'm no cuck, I'm smart enough to look past it.." but you have to factor that children and easily influenced idiots will be watching this also. If we allow this to continue, we're just fukin straight up letting them take our society's nuts, and yeah it may not impact you now, but it will eventually and it will for sure be leaving our children with a sad mess.

FOMO in full effect. I admit that's the only reason I want to see it. I'm not going to though. I'm already familiar with the character so don't need an origin story. I can wait for Infinity War.


Tell you what though, if Xmen is ever allowed into the MCU after the Fox acquisition, and Captain Marvel #2 is released with the connection with Rogue, then I am there.

1. The Kree are not that much stronger than normal humans.
2. There are superpowered ones too.
3. Ronan is just not some Kree, but one of if not the strongest Kree.
4. Yondu, that arrow dude from the Guardians is Kree as well.
5. Thanos is a Titan not a Kree. (unless they change it)

Dunno how Miss Marvel would be stronger than Thanos, especially with the gauntlet in the movies even though the writers stated that. She however has the power to absorb energy blasts to exponentially get stronger temporarily.
The writers could introduce that ability with some teamwork and trickery to make her an integral part to take down Thanos.

I think it’s just Brie Larson for the most part. It’s not about women in general.
