This is such a massive problem in our society. I made a thread about it recently but mods deleted it.

You mentioned medical leave, what was going on there? Work related injury or something else?

He told my nephew that they put him in a dark room with lasers circling his eyes for 30 minutes.

If true, this is horrible. Absolutely horrible.
Massive condolences. I can't even imagine.
Unfortunately, I don't believe you will get answers from his work. This will be frustrating.
Edit-He had to be a contractor since SW is owned by Lockheed Martin. Unless I am missing something.

Sincerest condolences, OP. I was friends with someone who experienced this and it's a long struggle coming to terms with it. Do not neglect getting professional help to assist with the healing process. There is no shame in it and you'll benefit from an outside, objective source of counsel. I wish you peace, there are no words for the loss.

Create youtube video about it bring out awareness about what happened so nobody else has to go through this.

sad news, all the best. if i'm not mistaking you for another poster, you also have a daughter right? how is she coping with this? must be very upsetting losing something you were a part of making, raising, caring for and then it comes to this unfortunate end.
