flowers of war idk i think cause it's based on reality. rape of nanking

there's a scene where they captured a schoolgirl, scene after is like the soldiers chilling outside and each taking turns to i'm guessing rape her inside a house and you can hear her screaming, later she's like dead tied up to a rocking chair all wet and ****. they don't actually show what the soldiers do to her but it's obvious.

just ****ed up. left a huge mental wound in me. i became so overly pissed off by everything rape related that happened or happens in reality after that.

i watched it like 10 years ago and still pisses me off.
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

I saw this too, but this thread is about real movies, with actors, fake stuff, not real psychopaths doing evil things. The beheading of the scandinavian woman really disturbed me, more than 1 man 1 ice pick or 3 men one hammer

Not into gore or s&m, torture crap. I think if you can stomach that, you have some mental issues.

But i will second some suggestions, old boy and wickerman (both original, not remakes).
I remember sommersby, but saw it a very long time ago.
I'll add original blair witch.

I've seen many creepy and unsettling films. Here are a few that belong on this list.

Some films are edgier than others, but there are moments in them that genuinely made me feel uneasy.

This one was actually interesting -

^ This is about as close as it gets to a modern Lovecraftian film.

Without any thought, the movie "Untraceable," with Diane Lane came to mind...because of certain graphic and voyeuristic torture scenes...

I'm sure I could come up with movies containing much worse graphic torturous scenes than the above, but I'd rather not bring my current good mood down..lol.

Movies like A Serbian Film are so grotesque that they become black comedies IMO whether intentional or not. Same as the likes of Human Centipede 2, the entire premise is so over the top that you can't help but laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. I mean how many times can you say, 'Yea remember that scene where the woman gives birth in the car, then slams the gas pedal crushing its head to escape a psychopath who jacks off with sand paper'.

The one truly disturbing movie I can recommend isMartyrs.NOT the US remake. I found that unsettling because the premise was obscene, but it was delivered entirely realistically and not in that over the top funny way. The plot was quite intriguing and had some stunning visuals, albeit sadistic in nature.

Edit: Forgot to includeWe Need To Talk About Kevin. Not gory at all but its a movie about a boy who grows up to be a school shooter, and how he was basically evil and messed up from birth.
i like the wrong turn movies lol

Cannibal holocaust is more of a documentary I feel. There's tribes out there that would do that / still do that kind of stuff.

I saw a short film called " cutting moments" it got passed around via hard drive my 3rd Iraq your. Pretty sick stuff.

Some some generic beheading / execution stuff also passed around.

For some reason, hostile 2 and the faculty still creep me out.

Is it a bad thing I heard of nearly all of these movies?

At least no one tried to be an edgelord and say Daisy's Destruction.

I always found that scene ultra memorable for a different reason

It’s underrated how masterful her acting was and the darkness of conveying the sheer trauma.

When I saw it I was jacking off to the acting skills more than anything and the sheer expression of art and death and all that

It was beautiful actually
