one of the elevator mechanics contracted to refurbish the elevators at my job is a former marine. he corroborated OP's story about the ballsacks-to-buttsacks move that recruits were forced to stand in line for. he seemed serious but the guy's also one of the funniest guys I've ever talked to and I wasn't sure if he was joking or not. he told me about his boot camp story long before I came upon this thread.

There were two Mexican drill instructors. There were two white drill instructors. There were two black drill instructors. 6 drill instructors for a platoon that varied from 12 recruits- 30 recruits while I was there.

For fire watch at night we needed 3 recruits per hour. One recruit for each station. If you add up 3 spots times 8 hours that comes to 24 fire watch places. The problem was that our platoon barely ever had 24 recruits. My responsibility as guide was to pick recruits to give double fire watch duty to. We basically had to have double firewatch duty every night. When you do the math it's 8 hours of lights out minus the 2 hours of fire watch minus- the 15 minutes you were woke up for your shift before duty and maybe the- minus 15 minutes it took to change clothes and fall asleep which comes out to 5.5 hours of sleep a night at best. Those of us there slept at most 5.5 hours a night for 6 months. Can't be healthy.

I "worked" there escorting recruits to their various appointments at the hospital. I also answered the phone for the P.E.B. Liason officer gunnery sgt white. And I cleaned bathrooms through the whole hospital.

I was in delayed entry program for 10 months. September 2009- July 2010. Worked very hard to get in shape the best I could. I went to pt 3 times a week.

I shipped beginning of August 2010 and was involuntary separated through physical evaluation board March 2011

Was on the island for about 8 months

MRP was the worst thing that has ever happened in my life.

It means running/crushing into the person in front of you where the toes of your feet are touching the heels of the person in front of you. When you are naked it means your dick is in the ass of the person in front of you.

Sgt Garcia handed me his cammies and told me to wash them. I put them in the washer and then the dryer. When I handed him back his cammies he pulled a mouth guard out of the pocket. The mouth guard got deformed from the heat of the dryer. He chopped me in the throat and I felt something break. To this day I can't breathe if I lay down on my back.

The guys name was Sgt Garcia. He was originally from echo company 2nd battalion. He got njp for fighting with another drill instructor and put into MRP summer 2010. He was there the whole time I was and probably some time after. Can someone validate this? I know there has to be someone else out there that experienced this with me.

When the doctor gave me the letter saying I should be put into peb platoon he stapled it closed. I didn't know what it said. I handed it to the senior drill instructor and he passed it around to the other drill instructors. I was guide. Sgt Avery ripped the band off my arm. Sgt Lopez told me to get my rifle and ilbe pack and my other gear. I reported back. He told me to get out. I was leaving the squad bay and I didn't know he was following me. He purposely let the door hit himself. He grabbed my ilbe pack and slammed me into the wall and then grabbed my head and slammed my face into the wall and then pulled me and pushed me into the metal bi door divider. "We hold door open for drill instructors now scream aye sir" It was Thursday family day and as we were walking to the armory he was asking me knowledge questions and I was screaming back the answers. I still laugh to this day when I think about the faces the families made when they saw me with the sea bag on my front and Ilbe on my back carrying my rifle screaming with blood from my nose going into my mouth and me yelling back to the drill instructor causing the blood to spray out from my mouth lmao
