not willing to sacrifice at my age (closer to the end than the time committed to starting a business

I will try some different things with my boy when he is 18 as far as businesses go, get him started on the right foot

Laziness brah, srs. I've had so many half-baked ecommerce projects. Eventually I get fatigued with sitting in the computer chair. I also start convincing myself it's a waste or over-saturated.

The only thing I could reliably stick with is some lifting related stuff, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't waiting to get my lifts + physique up first.

there’s pressure to produce and having to manage people - the latter being especially difficult when a given employee’s actions are directly affecting you financially. Takes some work, but when you figure these things out, there’s no more rewarding and enjoyable work environment.

Even when people blabb about “having your own business”, I think few are talking about a business that employs others. They’re probably talking about trying to make more money for themselves by themselves

Employing others is on a totally different level, definitely something that most would not want to take on and even less would be capable of handling properly

I spend copious amounts of time looking for business partners online and/or businesses for sale. I want to run something BADLY.

It is just finding that one in a million shot of the right partner, idea, etc.

Would love it if a few Miscers had some ideas that we could collaborate on. I've talked to a few in the past but they were duds.

I started a recruiting company. It's not MLM. Companies can't fill niche roles. We go out, find candidates, screen them and if they get the job we get paid.

I don't think owning a business is something everyone should want. Or something that even makes sense for most people's personality and motives. It's an endless sacrifice of time and comfort for money and growth.

All my mentors and my parents told me I was stupid for starting when I did and tried to convince me desperately to do otherwise. If you want a business and want help just put yourself out there, engage people who have done it, stop pitying yourself and ask for help.

You'd be surprised what happens when you take action instead of blaming the universe.

lawl. Nah rather run someone else's business and stick to being very well compensated. Probably not much difference between myself and group above me tbh, but if/when SHTF @3am when a fridge/freezer goes out it isn't my problem if $120k worth of product gets ruined.

Because it takes a tremendous amount of time in the initial phase. My path to financial freedom is going to be through the acquisition of assets, mainly stocks. Stocks are the best value and the least amount of time of any asset class.

Had this idea of wanting to do a skill trade business but I'm far from a pro on any of it, i just know basic things. Always thought of quitting my current job (general contractor) and going into one of the trades (plumbing/electrical/hvac) and learning one as much as possible (5 years) then branching out a business. But this seems like i'm working backwards from where i am now and the time spent.

Aside from that i'm stuck on any ideas. Plz halpppp

Real talk though I have a particular idea for an app/program that I've thought about last 10+ years but just too lazy to do all the ground work for it. Pretty sure majority of people would use it as well. Doesn't help I know nothing about app design.

That said, I feel there isn't much money in just an idea unless I bring it to fruition and then sell or grow it.
