So you're using the most extreme example in this country to represent the entire nation, that's cool bro. That's just what California and their liberal policies get you... Here on the east coast you might see the occasional homeless person in downtown asking for change but you'd never actually see tents raised on the side of the road like that, much less a whole colony of them.

Turns out the voters are short-sighted and inept...and the politicans are calculating and greedy.

The voters are inept becasue they belive the feel good chit the politicians spew to them out here, but the politicians are well aware of what their policies will bring. They play dumb for deniability and other reasons, but theyre absolutely doing the bidding of their handlers.

They're actively trying to destroy CA, to break it down into mass poverty. They believe they'll be insulated in their ivory towers when the state collapses, and the riches they've siphoned out along with all the favors they've done for their handlers will protect them.

I'm convinced, and no one can change my mind. If you look at the actions they take in CA, the policies the push and enact, the ONLY logical conclusion is that they want the state to fail. They want it to fully become a welfare state and dependent on the govt for sustenance, there is no other conclusion that makes sense. We've passed the "they're doing it to please voters ad make themselves feel good" into these people are clearly doing these bad things for a reason and are well aware of where the state is heading territory. If you dont believe me, skim over the laws and regulations that theyve passed and are still pushing for over the last say 10 years, the truth will jump out at you (if you can think logically).

Precisely why ultra liberal area's that cater to the homeless and have a weak legal system in reference to drug possession and vagrancy turns into ****holes like this.

There are already laws in place that can pretty much eliminate the homeless problem in individual cities. The politicians/residents of those cities in California choose to tie law enforcement hands though. Within 30 days you could all but eliminate homelessness in a city. Or at least make it to where homeless people make an effort to hide. Under bridges, in abandon buildings, etc.

People blaming liberals but what is the conservative solution to this problem? Throw all those people in jail? Shoot them? Force them to join the military? Genuinely want to know.

Liberals aren't responsible for the homeless problem per say. They are pretty much all exclusively drug addicts or alcoholics. So they are all making life-style choices that put them in that position and keep them there. There are already a ton of organizations and resources to help them get on their feet, should they choose to do so.

But liberals are responsible for the problem to get so out of control in their individual city/area. Here are a few laws that are already in place/commonly in place that could be strictly enforced to make being a drug addict/vagrant in an individual area very unpleasant.

-Drugs/paraphernalia
-Loitering on private property (of ANY business where they aren't actively conducting business as a customer).
-Loitering on a side-walk/roadway. Or constructing a tent on a sidewalk/roadway. (Obstructing the flow of foot traffic/traffic).
-Being told to leave any area and refusing to comply.
-Urinating/defecating in public.
-Begging

They commit any of those offenses ^ and they can be arrested and jailed. With only the clothes on their back. Every single thing they own is now 'abandoned' property which can be disposed of. Obviously you can't hold them forever. But you can rejail them for any of the above offenses ^. And again dispose of whatever property they left lying around. If literally everything you do as a lifestyle gets you jailed and you lose everything you own. Its only a matter of time when they offer them a one way bus ticket to another city as they are being released from jail. They GTFO the area. And now, you've pushed the problem out of your area.

All it takes is a zero tolerance policy towards vagrants. The laws are already in place. The police would be more then willing to enforce them. This is what happens in places that doesn't want homeless everywhere living in tents, shooting up, begging, etc.

Its not recorded the same. You can be classed as homeless if you are in temporary accomidation in the UK. The us has less social nets to stop people becoming homeless, its not even debatable so they have considerably more rough sleepers.https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-a8094366.html

There's an absolute tweaker on my street corner where we don't typically ever have homeless people, spinning a begging sign and dancing and missing nearly every toss, looking around like crazy, most recently saw him run out to a car in middle lane at stoplight thinking they were offering him $, half way (so in first lane of traffic) he stops and looks at them and you can tell they waved him off or something. He thought they were giving $ and they were like nah lmao. He tripped on the curb on the way back up the street. Dudes 100% straight tweaker.

Oh and it was like 109*F.

I don't give a fking SHRED to these people ESPECIALLY when they're right near my house. I want them to be like 'oh this corner doesnt work' and LEAVE LEAVE LEAVE or get a fking job. But ya i've never seen a more obvious tweaker in my life.

The US defines homelessness the same way as the UK
a person is considered homeless if they "lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence and ... has a primary nighttime residency that is: (A) a supervised publicly or privately operated shelter designed to provide temporary living accommodations... (B) an institution that provides a temporary residence for individuals intended to be institutionalized, or (C) a public or private place not designed for, or ordinarily used as, a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings." Human Rights Watch (2010) identified emancipated teenagers in California as a new homeless population.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homele...and_categories

In other words, wrong, it is recorded the same. Those with temporary living accommodations are included in the US homeless population.

Nah, fuk that. This state is wayyyyyy to beautiful to just give up, it is prime prime real estate. I say throw all of the marxist lawmakers and illegals out and fix the policies of unlimited welfare etc. This state would turn around inside of 10 years and resemble TX, swear to god mate.

CA could be fixed inside of 2 election cycles if the corruption were quelled, the illegals kicked out, and the Democrats tossed out. Would be the dopest, most beautiful state BY FAR if that were to happen.

Hell even just rounding up and deporting the illegals would do it, that would free up tens of billions of dollars in resources for the actual citizens to use
