Boars are nasty fukking animals. I was cringing the whole time watching this knowing that boars have tusks.

Why the hell did that retard hit the boar after it stopped? And why is that woman out there? What is she and her high heel boots going to do?

I think people in this thread are forgetting that boars can weight way above 200lbs and have tusk that would gut you like you crazy with a ram, and once you fall they can gore your head, neck, etc. If you don't have a gun you should call for help brah, you ain't taking down a 200lb or more boar with sharp tusk with a shovel or bat.
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

I grew up on a farm with pigs. I can recall hitting one of our larger pigs over the head with a 2x4 because it was chasing me.

It was not effective.

Was invited to a hog hunt in North East Texas, guy had three dogs that he took. Used to have 4 but one was reportedly gored to death by a hog just 2 months earlier.
But during our hunt, the dogs tracked one down and cornered it. It charged one and rolled it over (remarkably it was okay), distracted the hog enough for the other two dogs to pounce. One grabbed its muzzle and held on like it was riding a bull. It took them all what seemed like 10 minutes to corral this thing and tire it enough for the dog's owner to finish the job.
Craziest thing I have ever seen. Have never been back to that place, don't think I like the use of dogs. Was too brutal for me, but my stomach is weak. Could hear the bones in his stout crunching. But I have a huge respect for the creatures after that, boars and dogs both. Tough SOB's.

A metal baseball bat would probably work, but you'd only have one shot at it before you got gored

Don't think that would be heavy enough.

A crow/ lever bar tool would do damage to a boar.

The problem with a boar is when they are mad, they charge and they are very fast and compact for their weight. They will take you down unless you can run around a solid object (like a tree). A crow bar swing to the head followed by a frenzied stabbing with the lever side will put a boar out of commission when you have an object to move around.

In the open, you are going down and gonna get opened up.
