it was alright for me until the acting of the villagers lmao

not their fault cause the writers for this episode were horrible

Add a lilttle violence to a goat sci fi universe and everyone jizzes themselves.

Personally I think the show is alright. It be even more epic if they made it game of thrones violence.

Because Bryce Dallas Howard directed this episode. Female first time director and actress-turned-director at that. That's like the trifecta of suck.

Everything. The little kids the villagers even Gina Carono can’t act a lick, it was episode 1 level bad. The Mandolorian is supposed to be some silent stoic badass, all of a sudden he’s talking to everyone being polite and getting beat up by some butch chick. I can keep listing problem with this episode but it would take me to long

Really feel like they're rushing the whole business of softening him up. First episode set him up to be a cold hearted hunter, stacking fools in carbonite and s***. Episode 4 is too early to have him contemplating retirement and whatnot. He's the star wars equivalent of a (greek) spartan. Any hints of weakness should take a lot of work to expose.

Hopefully this episode was only that generic because of the first time director.

I mean I still "liked" it. Even though in the opening scene I knew exactly what the plot was. It's just overused and extremely tired dumbed down plots with cool star wars stuff thrown in.

Didn't know it was a women director. But I actually like her work in this episode. The way she shot some of the scenes looked pretty cool.

The writing on the show is basic af and there's nothing creative about it. If it didnt have the star wars brand and lore behind it and was something else, it would be getting trashed.

Saying that, I enjoy it because of that reason and will keep watching.

Good show I like how they are keeping it simple. But yeah, the last ep didn't add to the overall plot very much but still liked it.

First ep. that disappointed me. Felt more like the horrid SJW crap that they've been shoving down our throats for years... I really hope that this was just a one-off and they get back on track.

And for god's sakes... STOP CASTING GINA CARANO. She can't act worth a lick. Only thing that would have been worse is if Ronda Rousey played that character.

Just watched the 4 episodes yesterday. All as ok until ep4. Then i seen a few cliche things happening.SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!
1. Mandalorian runs into a woman who can match him hit for hit in a fight.
2. They team up
3. They get approached to help out a village being run over by bad guys
4. They have to teach the village people "YMCA" to fight
5. There is a HUGE call back to King Kong with a ATST Walker towards the end.
Otherwise its decent. I'll keep watching for sure. I love Star Wars. Just hope it stays strong and doesnt fall to the SJW Feminist WOKE movement.

It really bothers me when some random female beats up some badass dude who's supposed to be all hardcore. Or even appears on his level. Sorry hollywood but she'd have had her face caved in by a fully armored dude.

to be fair she was an elite soldier of the rebellion. a shock trooper. they get dropped first right into the enemy lines. and fighting the galactic empire on the battlefield in war is a completely different animal than fighting a single bounty hunter. i think she would have won that fight given her background. she's probably got way more experience than the mandalorian in combat.

not a fan of the actress though but she does look the part

Has it been established up to this point that the Mandalorian has any skill in h2h combat? He's been beat up by basically everyone he's engaged in fisticuffs with. A Shock Trooper (FYI Females as shock troopers is cannon now) would definitely be able to stand toe to toe with him. Especially one as beefy as GC.

Just because you're minimalist view of "how it works" doesnt match doesnt make something wrong or stupid or poorly done.

if star wars was based on real life it would probably be like millions of years into the future though, maybe thousands. based in a galaxy far far away

actually nevermind

odd that it's actually a long time ago

found this on quora if anyone's interested about the star wars timeline and setting relative to our current real life history
I feel like some people missed some stuff. Here what I’m writing is Canon, meaning it’s accepted right now. Short answer it happens 150,000 years ago and 3 Million light years away (The Andromeda Galaxy to be exact). THIS I REPEAT IS CANON. I’ll explain

Everything that is happening or happened in the Star Wars Galaxy is being recorded in the Journal of the Whills. The Whills are a weird energy type beings who watch and record everything going on. You can actually see the Book of the Whills in the “last jedi” meaning Luke has it. This book will be passed down throughout the Star Wars history and eventually somehow it will reach our Galaxy and we are just watching the History of this Galaxy through the Book of the Whills. Which means a bunch of Humans traveled from the Star wars Galaxy to our Galaxy with the Book of the Whills.

Hence what is happening in Star Wars happened a long time ago in somewhere far away, and humans from the star wars galaxy are actually our Ancestors. This is canon. If you infer even farther you can go that midicolorians are actually our miticondria (which lucas has stated) and since we all have an genetic eve, the Star Wars universe occured 150,000 years ago because modern humans arrived on earth 150,000 years ago.

So that’s your time frame going by what is Canon 150,000 years ago.

Now for how far away. This is also Canon. ET aliens or Asogians are in the prequels, check the senate scene. We know their home Galaxy is 3 Million light year away from Earth. So by that we know the distance. And that is Andromeda.
There is only one Hell: the one we live in now.

Aren't mandolorians a legendary warrior race who are trained in combat since kids, no way should she be able to beat him in combat especially with all the armor on.

armor isn't effective against blunt damage you're getting concussed in there. football players and hockey players for example.

yeah it can stop a blaster and not a fist, because a fist is blunt force. a laser is not and can't melt his armor. his armor is made out of the strongest metal in the galaxy but his brain is not. you get your head rocked and your brain gets rocked too. brain hits the skull hard enough and it gets messed up bad. and she wasn't just using her fist, it was some sort of combat glove.

last episode was ok i dont get hate. episode 2 was more boring. this show is slowly getting boring though

last episode was like a copy paste plot that i've seen in 100 movies. like The Magnificent Seven or any wild west movie. train the people to fight. attack. insert love interest.

this show got over hyped cause of baby yoda. not something id recommend to anyone. but im not big into star wars

Only on ep 2 because starwars chit has lost its shine and dont have much free time to binge it lately, but since disney+ was free for a year with my phone plan, I figured what the hell, and liked the first 2 episodes.

I fully expect it to fall off and have lame sjw bullchit and all the other reasons I have hated the new star wars crap lately. But for free its ok.

Thing I didn’t like about latest is that there was a forced old western “outlaw saves widow and lives in peace” chit without any buildup. No buildup. Dude is about to take off his hat for this bish why? Wants to live in this rando village he’s been in for 5 mins why? They’re trying to fit in a huge trope in each episode:
Lifts:
Squat: 460x1
Bench: 400x1
Deadlift: 575x1
OHP: 250x2
Weight: 180 lbs.

Don't have heroes; look up to no one. Because as long as someone's leading the way, the best you'll ever be is second.
