i wish i didn't post in this thread yesterday, couldn't help myself and check her social media (my ex) and started feeling a bit depressed. Looks like i'll be joining the loser club with imbored guy and the other dudes who are sad about their ex's/oneitis.

There's one from a long time ago I wonder about every once in a while. She was fun and tiny so I could throw her around in bed.

I think the problem i have and like op and others on this forum is maybe this one particular girl triggered so much dopamine in our brain that other girls don't really compare. And that's what i think the situation in my case is.

Yes, i know my ex does not care about me at all and she barely remembers me and sleeps with a new guy each week, but i still remember and think of her because "no girl compares" but i know that it's simple because i haven't been with a women who gave me such a rush as her.

It's like doing the most pure drug for whatever how long you were with this girl and then doing other drugs after that but yea, it feels good but no one near the high that pure drug gave you.

This is what it kinda feels for me. I know there's nothing really unique or special about my ex but the way she acted, spoke what she wore, her perforume etc all adds up to extremely addictive high feeling and no girl really comes close to that 'feeling'.

Hence oneitis exists.
