I had a torsion spring break last year. So i ordered a new pair and it came with those rods you speak of. Wasnt too bad of a process either.
The youtube pro's claim "balancing" is so that the garage door doesn't close or open on it's own. In other words it should stay at any position/spot you stop at.
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

Sounds like broscience. Would think if you set them the right number of turns (based on spring size) you'd be fine. Im thinking they mean when not connected to the door opener. That it just stays in place.

In theory, this really should never matter.

Correct, when It's not connected to the opener, or the release chain is pulled, the door should stay in place where ever you leave it. It should not open on it's own (springs too tight) and it should not close on its own (springs too loose).

You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

G2C 9MM? That's what I ended up with last month. Haven't fired it yet, just took it apart for the first time tonight...doesn't look clean, kinda wonder if it's been fired before. But then again, it's my first and don't know exactly what to look for.

Chit i didnt do this at all. lol

Not even sure what mine would do if i disconnected it. Didnt watch video but imagine it would be pretty simple. Just loosen set screws on spring, release/tighten a turn or two, tighten screw. See what happens.

Good Friday isn't a federal holiday. I worked from home anyway, hungover. Truth be told, I put more work in on my website than my actual job. That's what happens when you can't connect to VPN 90% of the time.

I haven't fired my G2C either. Took it apart and everything looked clean right out of the box. I need to find some training ammo. I have some hollow points that I picked up because it was the only thing they had but I'm not putting those through at the range.

It's a blog centric site so the first thing you'll see are blog posts about my paintings. Each post includes the inspiration, perhaps a story behind the painting, lessons learned, and tips. There's also a gallery where you can just scroll through the paintings. My Etsy shop is linked. That's where I sell my mini paintings and magnets and other miscellaneous stuff I happen to paint on. I just added a proper art shop to my site where you can buy my actual paintings.

Nice! And good tactic making it blog centric and having the sales elsewhere. I'd almost say youre hiding the "buy this" too much. Maybe have a small link at the end of the article? Like a "hey if you like this painting, you can get it here!"

You're right. I was doing it in my early blogs. Not sure why I stopped. All right. Next task....

Got it done. My door required a full turn on one spring and 3/4 turn on the other. New opener is "titties".

Saw our Trump Bux are pending deposit today but noticed we were short $500 for one kid. Went and looked at my tax return and somehow my daughter wasn't showing properly as a dependent. Have to mail in an amended return but that'll be an extra chunk of change back in several months. Nice.

Just an FYI, there’s talk of possible meat shortages in the next month or so
Supply chain disruptions + producer disruptions (employees getting covid) + regulation limitations(producers not being able to package and sell direct to consumer )
You may purchase some additional meat to freeze, as insurance

Just read that article too. Most of the doom and gloom though came from the CEO of the pork packing plant that just closed due to employees testing Positive for Corona. They were/are 4-5% of the pork produced.
The article also spotlighted the different labeling requirements for retail sale and sales to restaurants as being another big obstacle to production. Packaging is completely different and the retail labeling requirements puts a large burden on switching over the food service lines to retail.

There are a couple hundred head of cattle down the street and plenty of venison that needs harvesting roaming the hills behind the house. Hopefully fish and game isn't essential.

So I've been feeling pretty crappy yesterday and today. No fever, but a little chest tightness, cough, headache, sore throat. A little worried cause I hear this thing is rough on us old folk.

I don't think its the COVID-19 though, I think its just the POLLEN-20.
