JFL @ Yates and Coleman having "tiny" stomachs when they're responsible for ushering in the freakishly unaesthetic era of bodybuilding.

I don't think either of them hit a vacuum pose since elementary school.

This thread will never work due to body dysmorphic disorder.

Many on this site will believe someone under 200lbs is a twink despite 99.95% of the world's population naturally not weighing that much, meaning it's normal.

It comes down to proportion based on height and bone structure, many <5'8 men look huge cut at 155lbs despite 15.5" arms.

Disclaimer: used to be 215 and looked like a disproportionate freak to myself, no thx joff

Ronnie Coleman in this interview hints at starting to take some different "vitamins" in 1994 which was probably a HGH and slin combo

He was definitely already using in 1994,but you could tell the difference in physique and blockiness in 1995.

so yeah, that guy's full of chit but let's get some facts right it probably wasn't steroids that caused the huge stomach size.Let's not forget Arnold was juiced to the gills.

connor's got a weird physique in general. strange chest. bigger shoulders. his forearms look a little built. biceps don't. imo it's only his shoulders and a little bit of chest development

if you look at his legs though you can tell he works on em/ lifts. women would probably see that assume and assume the rest

I think his problem is that he has the lower body and he has no upper body, you got a problem building...wait a minute. You have the upper body, and you have no legs, you got a problem building your legs. You have the upper...you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, the upper body, it is easier to build. So if you have the lower body and you don't have the upper body, it is easier to build the upper body. You have the upper body and you don't have the legs, you got a problem building the lower body... No, you don't understand. You have the upper body, but you don't have the lower body, you got a problem building downstairs. You got the up- legs on the bottom, it is easier to build on the top, so you don't have much as a problem. Yeah.

atleast Phil Heath isn't walking around with Weider telling people to buy protein powders to get huge and add 5 inches to their chest in 4 weeks.Bodybuilding was always gae and full of chit.

Once you’ve ever made any type of money in your life you’ll stop saying ridiculous comments like omg he has 4 million dollars you’re jelly because you’ll realize that money doesn’t always mean happiness
Do you hate on guys in the NFL for being ridiculously big? They look terrible being as big and strong as they are. Why do they even want to be famous and make millions? There's more to life right?

Hating on a bodybuilder for being successful at bodybuilding is as ridiculous as hating on any other pro athlete for being successful at their sport.

Money doesn't mean happiness. But earning a living that puts you in the top 2-3% of society doing your hobby/what you enjoy is as good as it gets. People that are in to lifting will do it day day out for their entire life for free. Hell, they pay to do it. How much would you pay your employer to work for him for the next 30 years? Are you so passionate about your job that you love devoting your time to making your employer more wealthy?

I agree, before I ever started lifting I knew bodybuilding was one of the most fraud bullchit hobbies one could pursue which is how I've avoided BDD in my mind.

Being 130% aware of the short/long term physiological effects of even the most basic bicycle rides, that road will never be tracked.

Even if you personally don't respect him and/or think it looks ridiculous. And even if a large portion of the population thinks that. I guarantee you someone with a physique like that gets more attention/flattery/respect then you ever will.

Dude has a net worth of 4 million dollars. Because of his physique. His day consists of lifting, hanging with his bro's and marketing products through social media. How can your life even compare? Are people approaching you offering you contracts/business deals? Do you get paid to take a picture with someone's product?

There's a difference between just being big, and being aesthetic. Arnold was big AND aesthetic as was Frank Zane. Joey Swoll is big but not particularly aesthetic imo.

Right. I wouldn't want to be an IG influencer, musician, or actor either. But I'm not criticizing people that are successful in those fields for doing so.

One of your original statements was that he'd get laughed at in business meeting with his suit. Funny thing is, he isn't wealthy from pushing other people's products or from bodybuilding competitions. He's wealthy because he's an entrepreneur. He can literally walk into a business meeting in shorts and a stringer and nobody is laughing.

IFBB pursuits aren't mentally ill. In 2020 more people are pursuing that level as a career/to make money. Its not necessarily about winning competitions and getting a trophy or looking pretty in pictures. Its about endorsements/business deals. One of the main reasons bodybuilding has changed from the old era is its not just a hobby anymore. Its a long term career move. The most successful bodybuilders in the world used it as a stepping stone.

As far as long term health the guys that downsize as they age are still pretty healthy.

With that question it's 99% about neck size and physiognomy. Some dudes just look like low-inhib killers that you don't want to fuk with, even if they may actually be teddy bears who throw punches like a girl.

Conor looks like much more of a killer than the dude he's standing next to.

i disagree, if you literally mean to the needle. Most veteran bodybuilders fukking hate it after years, its an annoyance to have to do it and most switch to 80% of the time being on just a glass of OJ a day and will have 2-3 glasses when it gets time for a competition.

I meant generally, I hate how bodybuilding and OJ have become synonymous, ugh.

Most will have physicians showing them there's more than one way to skin a cat as far as serum levels, yes.

Also, if you catch me casually saying " srs, poverty, brah " in real life, feel free to arrest me because it's getting out of hand, semi-srs

The only merit of being jacked as the BBer on the right is opportunities to make a career out of it which I can completely understand. If you're going to look ridiculous and do permanent damage to your body you better be getting paid for it.

Its a shame to see jacked guys working these low paying, chitty security jobs. If they're doing it temporarily while pursuing bigger dreams I can understand that, but long term? Ridiculous.
