Someone being intoxicated during arrest does not absolve the primary officer from the duty to preserve life. You might have a bit of leeway if he was high on PCP and resisting arrest, but (from what I can tell) that wasn't the case. He was clearly submissive for close to 10 minutes of recorded footage. The fact that he was on meth and ******** (which makes zero sense) or that he was a prior felon or was in porn is irrelevant. The cop did a sh*tty job and killed the guy, and given the amount of scrutiny these days, especially when dealing with black people, is justifiably worthy of people being pissed off.
The "people who disagree with me are trolls or retards" or "I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING RACIST! YOU'RE PROJECTING!" is nonsense.

mind you the killing of Philando Castille, who was a lawful gun owner, saw the officer's defense rest in large part on the argument that Castille was a terrible person for smoking weed as a father. it ****ing worked.

and people sworn to serve and protect should, you know, be held to account if they do the opposite of that. which is the entirety of the problem.Go Canucks Go!

Doesn't sound like he was in good health though, even if he wasn't abusing hard drugs

doesn't it take weeks for toxicology reports?

All of these can be, and are true simultaneously:
He had a criminal background
He fought with officers/ resisted arrest
He had drugs in his system
Arresting officers had to control him
Once controlled, officer kneeler recklessly kept his knee on dudes neck with pressure
The other 3 officers allowed it to happen

These labs that they are signed on with contract with potentially many other agencies and there is a large backlog of autopsies to go through before a more recent autopsy gets looked at.
it's possible that due to the nature of the incident and its effects on our country (and other countries worldwide I guess), it was prioritized*.

Rioting was a constant during the Vietnam war and future admins and others were very cautious going forward during the future wars to listen to it's citizens, or at the very least make it seem like they were

Dude was unlawfully killed whilst defenceless.
Being a drug addict doesn't mean you deserve to have your neck knee-pressed for 8 minutes by some power tripping psycho, who should be helping you. Anything less than serious jail time for that incompetent chitbrain would just be a further tragedy.

I don't care if he smoked crack for breakfast every morning, that doesn't make it OK for LEOs to choke him to death in the street.
Also there is a vast amount of hypocrisy about drugs. Most of the entire world's adult population gets some kind of drug buzz going now and again, but someone is automatically deemed a criminal degenerate if they use the wrong kind of drug.
