I think a lot of people are conflating things

From what I've heard, when people mention Floyd as being a POS, it's been in the context of the guy being elevated as a martyr or hero. I've not heard many people say that Floyd deserved to die like that at the hands of police due to his criminal history.

But I mean, you can't expect to say that and not get cancelled, lol.

I am absolutely conflating things now but it's really hard not to. Like I say, that video was sickening. But all the elevation to martyr stuff in the context of the person he actually was has diminished all the sympathy and outrage I felt.

He's a troll and the network need to carefully balance punishing him enough to not get in trouble themselves, and forgiving him for his publicity and "entertainment" value, so they are becoming practiced at doing just the right amount of each. Re Chauvin vs Floyd: any normal, reasonable person thinks they are both PsOS because nearly all of us are reasonable, caring, law abiding people who are disgusted by murderers and violent criminals. But for some reason this is being treated as an invalid position, and everyone who calls one of them a POS is interpreted as thinking the other is a hero.
