Ok let me explain how surface contamination would work. Someone sneezes on a surface, you then touch that surface so now the virus is on your hands. You then touch your mouth or nose to get infected. Well if you’re wearing a mask, then you can’t physically touch your mouth or nose because your mask is covering them.
