Anybody with a smart phone can do some research and see there is no debate. This thread is about Japanese war crimes, not America, and there’s absolutely nothing in American history to compare to The Rape of Nanking. Atrocities have been committed to be sure but nothing on that scale.

Don't blindly believe what's thought at school concerning your own country. Nanking isn't taught in Japan. The dark side of slavery isn't taught in the USA. What France did in africa isn't taught in France, etc.

Didn't the USA kill around 2 million Vietnamese civilians through bombing and napalming their towns and villages.

Interesting debate around whether it is better or worse to kill or maim someone face to face vs from miles in the air.

Not that the USA is no better or worse than any other country. Human history is what it is.

Naw, of course there is a debate. Don't you understand it is likely that there is much more that you don't know, than you know? Just like there is a debate whether or not America ALLOWED Japan to bomb Pearl Harbor.

Either way, you are comparing a relatively brand new country to a pretty ancient one which is not a great idea anyway.

Googling American history, written by Americans, isn't the best way to get fair and accurate information, about American war crimes. America is the winning country and wrote it's own history.
