It’s going to be funny when some ******* like ledron has the “nba is modern day slavery message” and some foreign player has some real message about genocide or starving African children as their message.
LOL @ people who follow politics

The Premiership in England is already doing it with BLM replacing the names of the players.

Black lives matter promotes Marxism which goes against everything America is founded on and is also offensive to many races as it insinuates other races don’t matter as much. Do you also go to Jewish people and say oh hey Swaztikas aren’t so bad stop being offended? That’s what you sound like right now

I wouldn't care so much if they wore slogans or sayings on their jerseys if there was more than 1 right answer. But there is only a single correct thing to the woke police and that's some form of "BLM."

Then those who are NOT wearing the "correct" flair or ANY flair will come under scrutiny. People will say "He's not supporting BLM with his jersey, maybe he is racist?" That will turn into the new scandal and players will have to conform. They'll face pressure from teammates, coaches, and sponsors, or risk losing their million dollar contract.

Today’s sports have been so watered down i stopped watching them. Especially NBA. After the Jordan era, these fools starting bitching about everything and think theyre so much superior than the rest of the world. Lebron and Wade annoy me the most. NFL and NBA will continue to have decline in viewership and revenue if they dont stfu and play ball.

I think the rules do or previously did forbid anything political being worn too.

It is about trying to keep politics away from things like sports and back where it belongs. Take a wild guess what would happen if someone wore "white lives matter" and what that reaction would have to do with putting a ball through a hoop.

Please explain how it promotes marxism..? I could see what you're saying if the term was "black lives matter more" or something along those lines.
Also your example is insurmountably dissonant. You sound like the kid in the lunch line that gets asked apple or banana and says I don't eat vegetables.

maybe the fact that the three founders said in the interview about the goal of their organization that they are trained marxists?

The unprovoked killing of black people is not politics. Obviously there'd be anger because white lives matter would be a clear ripoff mocking black lives matter (sound familiar?). And there's nothing wrong with being proud of being white. What I don't understand is why you're against famous basketball players being able to make a positive statement while they play.

It's ultimately just virtue signaling for 90% of them.

Kneel. Wear a "message" on your uniform. Live tweet during halftime about how woke you are. Whatever.

Most of this sh!t is done by dudes/sloots looking for attention, validation and a pat on the back. It's high school mentality all over again, people desperately want to fit in, be cool, be edgy and be a part of "something". Opening up their checkbook and/or actually spending real time in the impoverished communities they claim to care so much about? GL with that.

They spoke about their political ideology in a video that resurfaced from 2015, not in an interview about the goal of their organization. It's no surprise a movement's founders were activists beforehand on other issues. The goals of BLM include improving emergency response quality and efficiency, not conveyor belt jobs where we all get paid the same and live in identical apartments. Stop seeing red.
