Day 2, afternoon: feeling tired and a lack of confidence

Day 3: Mood boost. Slept for 4 2-hour intervals from 9 to 6. I feel more refreshed, but still not at my best.

Day 3, afternoon: brain fog, so went for a light workout. I ended up sleeping for 12 hours, from 6 pm to 6 am, but I woke up to use the restroom every hour.

Day 4: In the morning I went for a walk and some calisthenics. I listened to Elliott Hulse and Corey Wayne. I bought the week's groceries and paid most of my rent money, paying the last $40 today. I feel okay.

Day 5: Rest day. I have less energy than usual, but little anxiety. Afternoon: Minor headache but otherwise feel normal.

Day 6: feeling normal.

By the time you arrive on rehab on Thursday - three days from now - the worst will have already passed. After that it's a matter of implementing a workout routine. I would start off by running.
Doing 100 pushups every 45 mins. I don’t get seizures luckily or haven’t. I’m 3 hours in. Had a girl over for the 4th weekend and was able to get 24 hours sobriety but she’s a drinker and fell back into it. Sex is one of the only things that helps pass the time.

Thanks for your experience share.

She's out. My ex was into drugs.. sex was great but she drove me up the walls. I literally ran out.

My current gf of two years is stable, doesnt drink and loves me. Couldnt ask for more!

You'll have to go solo for a while. Without trying you'll attract the right person.

I haven’t had a drink since February. The bars are still closed and I don’t want to drink at home because I have no self control.

Addiction replaced with addiction. We're happy for you bro. Same time, have you addressed the issues that drive your addiction in any way?

in b4 I've seen a 22yo 1day graduate therapist and they didn't understand me so I'm doing my own game

Good Job OP.

I think not drinking is easier than having just one. Why bother, I'm sure by now you can appreciate other ways of having fun and can see how dangerous booze it.

The physical withdrawal. Seizures and DTs suck, it’s difficult to sit there feeling one coming on and knowing a beer will take it away even though it’s temporary.

It fukking sucks.

Maybe I'll have a virgin version. I love the taste: It's like lemonade!

Wow, a handle is a lot. It would take me three days to drink a handle.

Pick a time where you don't have to work for 5 days. This is the time when you will focus on getting sober.

Alcohol withdrawal is like hiking the Appalachian Trail. Phenibut withdrawal is like climbing Mount Everest. If all you had was insomnia, great. However, the more relapses you have, the worse the withdrawals get. It's like digging a deep hole...it's harder to climb out every time.

Haven’t had a drink in...tomorrow will be 3 months, I think. I had been drinking daily for several years before I took a break. I haven’t lost any real weight, but I don’t tend to be heavy anyway. I‘ve for sure noticed more mental clarity and Ifeelphysically better. My eyes are clear, skin is better, sleep is WAY better.

Just finished today's hour-long morning walk. Got 2.7 miles in today. Didn't feel like doing it but the brick must be laid.

Unless you can find a reason to get up in the morning - and support that reason like a scaffold supports a tall beam - you are not ready.

Weight loss pushes me. You must answer your questions to refute the doubts of others.

Thank you! A drink is something that makes you feel good for 30 minutes (not even an hour) and gets you fat in the process. The return on investment is terrible.

I'm on Day 3 (first time I've been on day 3 since probably April)

Feels really good.... because when I'm not drinking, so many parts of my life improve:

-Diet
-Sleep
-Workouts
-Professionally (I'm in sales - the amount of anxiety I get before a presentation, a sales call, etc. goes WAY down when I've been sober for a bit)
-Sense of wellbeing (way less anxiety, depression, anything like that)

Goal is to keep it going until mid-August, right before my 34th birthday.
~focus on what you can control crew~
~flaccid cummer crew~
~you are who you surround yourself with crew~
~mum was an escort crew~
~nothing is permanent so just enjoy the ride crew~
~2.5 inch dink crew~
~Forgive yourself crew~
~Accused of incest by extended family crew~
~It's up to you to fix your life crew~

Wow, that's amazing. Anxiety definitely becomes constant but low when you're teetotaling. With drinking involved it's a roller coaster and you feel like you've got rock boots for shoes.
