I tested positive for covid in March. I also had the swine flu when that was a thing and covid was not as bad as the swine flu tbh
The worst thing that happened to me was I woke up on the bathroom floor after feeling really odd while brushing my teeth. Idk if I fainted or seizure because I was on my own.
I was sick in bed for 6 days but then I recovered fast. Also I gave it to my partner and kids. We are all ok.

The whole "flu" argument doesnt work here. The virus is way more contagious than the flu. If you dont believe it, walk through a hospital in Houston. They are sending people from urgent care ER clinics to Galveston and San Antonio. There are no beds in COVID wards availble. The flu doesnt do this to hospitals. Do you see the difference?

The giant pool party thing is definitely not the brightest, but as far as businesses go they should be able to open with precautionary measures in place, ie: limit overall capacity in bars/restaraunts, mask policies in grocery stores, etc. Let those of us that are healthy and able get on with our daily lives, and those that are at higher risk can continue to take more extreme measures to protect themselves.

Before saying bars/restaraunts shouldn't be open, that is a hyuuuuuge portion of our economy. Remember it's not just bartenders and servers that are going without income, also owners, managers, vendors, cooks, dishwashers, entertainers, etc. The longer those places remain shuttered the more permanent harm will be done to our economy on the macro scale and tens of thousands of families on the micro scale.

Where did I say bars and restaurants shouldnt be open? I am saying we need to enforce policies that can greatly reduce spread as given by the experts. We are not doing that holistically. Going to a pool party is just plain dumb. Hosting large gatherings in general should be a no no (and no, i have little interest in politics. Attending street protest and presidential rallies are equally dumb at this time)
I am for opening businesses. Bars and restaurants included. Problem is, if you are forced to wear a mask, going to a bar wont be the best experience but its up to the bar owner to find a creative way around that.

Hospital my client works at sent 3 swabs with patients information to testing..but they were not swabbed by any patient..they all came back positive for CV. She contacted administration, nothing was done.

I propose the government makes an app that tracks where you have been in the last 14 days. If the app detects into a place like a casino, pool party, protest, etc, you are free to go. You just cant go to the hospital if you get COVID like symptoms.

Of course that will never happen, but if people want the choice to do stupid things, maybe they should enact something like this.

First, I am not saying COVID is as dangerous as billed. Please quote me on that? I am saying its real and it puts people down. I am get first hand information from my family that works in the healthcare system. Why would I lie about that? In terms of car accidents. Are you saying in 2020 less people arent paying attention? What percentage of cars on the street have technology that helps drivers avoid collision?
You think people are less distracted these days than in 1990 with cell phones/apps/unlimited data and bandwidth etc? I literally see people plowing down freeways in 20 year old beaters watching youtube while they drive.

I am for government enforcement of ensuring everyone exercises best practice for reducing spread of virus. Doing so will allow businesses to open back up at scale.

You dont have to go to a pool party or a street protest. (want)

You cant shut down the use of cars. And even if you completely shut down modern distractions while using a car (connectivity, etc) people still make bad decisions and create accidents.
You can shut down activities that gather crowds which is a large contributor of spread of virus.

Do you see how that works?
